    I bought this protection plan because the previous blu-ray player I purchased from Best Buy only lasted 16 months or so before it quit. I thought that if this blu-ray player quit working, Best Buy would see if they could fix it and if not, I would get a replacement. Best Buy said that usually this protection plan replaces the product when it's brought in, but for some reason, this product had to be SENT OUT to Samsung to see if it could be fixed. I have already spent HOURS on a chat line with Samsung to determine that I couldn't fix it. Not happy to be without Netflix for another 2-3 weeks. The only reason I would recommend this protection plan to a friend is because eventually I'll get something back that works and that's better than nothing. That's not saying much.

    Some times i had problems whit the employees about my guarantee bit some times is great

    Would never buy this again. Not much happens in two years, and this does not cover everything. Never needed to use it and would not suggest anyone buys it. Geek squad does do a good job when needed.

    Had to send in to evaluate before replace

    Sony blue ray worth $70. Forced to send in for evaluation before replace. Do you really think they would spend time to fix this throwaway. Change policy so customer gets replacements immediately for units under say $150.

    I bought this Protection Plan for a refurbished LG Blu Ray Player, that by the way was making noises since beginning but got worse when I hooked up with an OLED LG TV, so I took it to the GS team at the store that just for playing a disc to reproduce the noises I was told that they dont fix refurbished products, so I lost the 4 years Protection Plan that I bought, and they couldnt exchange with a similiar one because I bought that one online. I emailed the GS manager and copied to the Best Buy store manager, but never could talk with the last one even I went back to the store many times in different hours. Never will buy again any refurbished product

    Geek Squad Telephone Inquiries

    Can NEVER reach someone on the phone to answer inquiries or scedule an appointment for a Geek Squad to inspect/resolve issue regarding my TV no matter how many attempt calls to speak to a LIVE person. Finally gave up and still have speaker vibration issues on my 55 inch 4K HD TV. Not convenient to make a store visit due to my being a 24/7 caregiver to disabled family member.

    What good does it do to buy that Geek Squad and it's never honored. 4 years 2 years and more to be told we are out of area and get charged 200 plus to come to house and tell us it is just broken. The cost of that trip was 2 and 1/2 more than the product cost plus geek squad. Please never let me buy from them again. I have never purchased anything from Best Buy and it be right. Omg

    The protection plans are overpriced; to renew the protection plan, the cost is just as much as the product price.

    Terrible cord

    I bought this cord less than a year ago. It is supposed to be rugged and durable. However this cord is not a good quality cord. It would no longer charge my iPhone. I do not recommend this product to anyone.
