Always get the warranty. Best buy usually honors the warranty and I have used it on several different items.

I bought the Geek Squad plan thinking it would give me peace of mind. First for my JBL speaker, which went out—and they completely failed to help. Then I figured I’d at least have it for my new Pioneer stereo, but now I realize the whole thing is a scam. Nothing gets fixed. They just give you the runaround, waste your time, and then send your broken stuff right back. I wish I never bought this plan. Don’t fall for it like I did.

Install service has been a little rough on my car lately. I need to take it back again for service but the install shop is not open.
