I just recently got to see this in the theater and this disc looks better. I highly recommend it.

One of the most important science fiction pictures ever filmed in the currently best format we have.

I have only good things to say about 2001. It has never had any issues and I enjoy it a lot.

what a great masterpiece! even now it is an experience, with one of the best soundtracks ever.

What more can be said about 2001 : A Space Odyssey which hasn't already been either written or spoken? Stanley Kubrick co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clark and like in all of his films, his use of camera work, lighting and visual effects were groundbreaking for their time. The use of Strauss' "On The Blue Danube" waltz being played during several of the outer space scenes was a stroke of genius. The film itself asks the question of who or what is out there among the stars beside mankind? The film also touches on the topic of Man VS. Machine, something that was way ahead of it's time. The 4K Scan is simply beautiful to look at. The Audio & Soundtrack are both much better than the previous ones that came on the Blu-ray. This is a great film, a Must Have for any film buffs and an Essential for all Science Fiction fans!

If you are a fan of sci-fi and haven’t seen 2001, I recommend it highly...and on a 4k transfer.

The restoration on this film is impeccable. Excellent piece of filmmaking, perfectly restored.

This is a beautiful print of the film in 4d. Most of the extras though ar from past releases.
