Awesome Movie. It's hard to believe that it is over 50 years old. I saw a guy on youtube explaining how the older movies benefit from being in 4K.Well,it's very good and I'm still wadeing in the water with 4K.

Ignoring the plot and content, it's a fantastic piece of cinematography. The score, artwork, and technical effects are marvelous. The attention to detail puts this in a league of its own. When analyzing the plot, it is much less straightforward. It's artistic, philosophical, and thought-provoking.

Crystal clear picture. Like watching a documentary. Fast forward the beginning or mute the monitor watching the third act. Music score is annoying!!

Be warned.... If you are not familiar with this movie, rent it before buying it. It's very boring. But...... that's not to say it's not good. This movie is actually quite beautiful to behold and, a cinematic marvel. It's not for everyone. To get a better understanding of this film, check out Wikipedia. As far as the picture and audio quality, A+ for both. The best this has ever looked and sounded.... Easily!

I saw this movie as an early teenager and the thought of computers running everything had a huge impact on me. I may not of understood the whole movie at the time but I knew computers is where I wanted to be. I wanted to create something as intelligent as HAL and I am still working on it, lol.

I have this movie on HD and VHS and this is the best iteration of the film. Excellent resolution on my new TV and great sound with my Onkyo receiver. Well worth the price and I highly recommend.

I can’t stress this more! If you’re a Kubrick fan than this upgrade is for you. The only better way to see this would be in theaters and I don’t see that happening anytime soon! This is a perfect film!

If someone had told me that 2001: A Space Odyssey was actually filmed in Space, I’d believe them. This film has amazing effects that still hold up to the standards of today.

This is one of my favorite movies if not my favorite of all time and this 4k edition is hands down the best format you'll ever get to see it in. Clarity and colors are extremely vivid and lifelike. Amazing movie once again! Must buy!

Man, these UHD's are great. Even though it gets a wrap as being a mind-____ type of movie, I just like it as a pure visual sonic experience which these release delivers in droves. Highly Recommended

If you're a fan of great Sci fi or just great movies you need this in your collection if it isn't there already. Even considering that it was made in the late 60's it was revolutionary for its time and holds up very well in this age of over the top digital effects.

Didn’t get to buy this film on Black Friday. But happy that Best Buy stocks up on their films. One of the best places for a movie lover to shop at. Great deals. Great electronics. Great customer service.

This is a must watch for any scifi fan or really anyone who enjoys great film making. One of the best 4K transfers I have seen this year for a catalog release. The sound and picture are perfect.

One of the best movies of all time, and certainly near the top of the list of sci-fi flicks, in the best possible format for that genre. If you have the right equipment it's well worth the few extra dollars.

Interesting to view this film 50 years later, and see how the computer and electronics have taken over our lives. When we first viewed this film many years ago, I'm sure we never thought we'd see the developments in our lifetimes that we have seen.

The movie itself is a bold artistic undertaking. Some people get it, some people don't and I fall somewhere between understanding nothing and being Kubrick himself. Some parts may put you to sleep but when you wake up you'll be greeted with a stunning film transfer that looks as if it was shot recently. Highlight was the scene you see on the cover and the ending sequence.

One of my favorite sci-fi movies of all time. Kubrick at his best. The 4K restoration will dazzle you. Thanks for finally release this awesome classic. Release date was pushed back many, many times. But it was worth the wait.

A story that could happen with the help of people that are not concerned about the well being of the travellers just too see what if. The 4K is spot on.

My favorite movie of all looks absolutely amazing in 4K!!! My only complaint is that a digital copy was not included.
