Yes 2001 is just that, Awesome, then you have to watch 2010 the next movie of this series, then that is it, they only made 2, and they are both just Awesome especially if your a SciFi nut like I am, these are just as good as Star Wars and StarTrek...

Well i went to BestBuy 4 times to buy this movie. Copies out to sell. I grab it and am told 4 different times that i can not buy it. I mail order it and got it. Thank god. Looks best I have ever seen. Love the movie.

The film that inspired so many space and sci-fi epics comes to 4K. Great visual effects and it looks amazing on 4K.

I've never seen this film in it's entirety until now. Vague, confusing, silent and I'm still thinking about this film days later. Truely a masterpiece! Side note, this was made BEFORE man went to the moon. Amazing!!

This is one of my favorite movies and this is the definitive version to own. I just say it in the theater and watching it at home BLEW it out of the water. get off the couch and buy it now!

If you've not seen Stanley Kubrik's magnum opus, you're in for a treat! Definitely give it a watch, but if you can, get the 4K version for a great experience.

The new 4k restoration is an assault on your senses. Unbelievable that this film is 50 years old; it continues to influence and astound. Snag the steelbook if you can. It is glorious all around.

2001 is a masterpiece of filmmaking. This movie stands the test of time as one of the greatest science fiction movies ever made. Now with the 4K and steelbook treatment, this movie is definitely worth picking up.

This classic sci-fi movie is a foundation to all science fiction media. While there are certainly things I could care less about, and the drawn out pace, the movie is truly integral to the genre. If you have seen any movie with an AI gone mad, there is likely a reference to Asimov's Three Laws and 2001's HAL. Its also fun to just listen to the theme that played out this great conquest of mind over something so trivial as a bone. Glad I got to add this to my collection!

2001: A Space Odyssey is one of my most favorite sci-fi films, so I was thrilled when I heard a 4K steelbook release was on its way! So excited to introduce my grandchildren to this fantastic re-release. Thanks!

I have not watched this movie for at least 20 years, film grain was low to medium, close ups were great and the space ships looked used not brand new, great affect. The movie is a lot more symbolic than I remember and not much talking, great musical score. This movie makes you think about how life started, a little slow moving compared to today movies. Excellent.

Movie is incredible in 4K. This is as good as it gets! Must have for any fan. Audio is also first rate. Steelbook packaging is one of the best I've ever seen. If you can find it get it!

This movie is an all time classic sci-fi movie and looks amazing in 4K. It holds up very well for its age and I cannot recommend it enough for classic sci-fi movie fans.

This is a must see for any fan of science fiction. It helped to setup some of the foundation of Science fiction as we know it. But what makes this movie great is that it doesn't rely on huge explosions and intergalactic battles. It relies on its story.

Do I really have to put into words how good this film is ? It should be a given at this time that this film is not only a complete masterpiece but it also broke cinematic ground. Glad to finally own this Kubrick gem to my collection !

This movie has looked great on all formats but this one is the new definitive standard. Great price and great transfer. Must have to impress friends with your home media system.

amazing remaster, it’s a great movie but may be too slow for some, it’s mainly visuals and soundtrack that are nice, amazing for being made in 1968

HDR version of 4K movie would have impressed even Kubrik. Much more brilliant image on large OLED flat screen, even better than original cinemascope release in theaters.
