Okay movie sometime funny was overrated by critics

My kids seem to think it this is a good funny movie.

Really did not like this movie. Wife really liked it. Movie was boring to me and lost my attention very early in the movie.

It has it's funny parts, still better than the second movie.

I bought these movie ($9.99) but it said it was DVD and digital download but it did not come with the download, so that's a bummer

False advertisement as this movie does not come with a digital copy.

What happens when you take an overweight, intelligent, socially awkward “adult” and put him in the same police academy with same emotionally stunted athlete who made his life miserable all through high school? Morton Schmidt (played by Jonah Hill) had dyed-blonde hair and braces in the twelfth grade so, naturally, when he attempted to ask out his high school crush, he choked and was shot down anyway. While this was devastating to him, Greg Jenko (played by Channing Tatum) found it hysterical and made no effort to hide it. The shoe was eventually on the other foot, however, when the principal revealed that Jenko (Tatum) would not be allowed to graduate. Years later, in the police academy, Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko meet again, they decide to help each other overcome their respective shortcomings and, in so doing, graduate. But a screw-up results in their first arrest being invalidated and, as punishment, they’re reassigned to a program that was discontinued in the 80’s and brought back because “the guys upstairs ran out of ideas years ago”. Their new headquarters: 21 Jump Street. Under the direction of their captain (Ice Cube), they’re sent undercover as high school students to find the supplier of a new drug that recently caused the death of a white high school student after he’d posted a video of himself under the influence of said drug and posted it on YouTube. The inside jokes about the basis for this movie being a television program from the 80’s and cameo appearances from two former cast members are hilarious. Also entertaining is the sharp contrast in youth culture between today and ten years ago. Hill is basically playing a role he’s played several times before, ditto for Tatum, and Ice Cube, playing a role that even the cast admits is cliché, is fantastic. If you haven’t already, see this movie.

I just watched it with a whole bunch of soldiers here in Kabul, Afghanistan. We could not stop laughing our rears off. This is not a skip or rent. This movie is an instant classic and should be bought by all.

This movie often goes on sale for around $5 and it's a great value at that price. Movie-wise, it was much better than I expected and plays as a raunchy comedy. Whatever you may remember about the 21 jump street tv show, just discard that as the only similarity is the notion of undercover cops in high school. Blu-ray wise, the video and audio quality is very good and there are a lot of extra features like 30 min of deleted scenes, audio commentary with the main actors and directors, and a bunch of short features.

I loved the show back when it was on the air, but regardless of whether or not you watched that version, this movie was great. It was better than I expected and I found it to be hilarious... enough to go buy the blu-ray on the day it was released. Definitely recommend it!

Tatum and Hill have a very interesting connection in this movie that starts off weird and ends weird, but in a good way I suppose. I really liked it, with everything from them being in high school all over again to the insane trip they had. This movie is one to last, and you'll find yourself watching it again at least once every month or so.

I absolutely love this movie. I've watched it more times than I can count and I still die laughing every time. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are hilarious! Best buy has it at a great price and I got the digital copy with it so I can take it on the go. It's definitely worth the buy.

I have faint memories of the tv show, but I do remember the basic plot. It was more serious on the show. But the movie was funny. this is the best i seen Channing Tatum in his whole career. Non-stop laughter and memorable scenes make this a must own in your collection!!!!

So, I'm not the biggest Channing Tatum fan. So, it's safe to say that I didn't really go in with high hopes in this movie. But, i have to admit, that I was proven wrong right away. This was a great film, really funny, and just a great time overall.

There are so many parts of this movie that make me laugh my butt off. The last part of the movie kind of drags on, but it is worth it. Lots of laughs to be had.
