I would highly recommend a trim kit if you have an under counter microwave. It finishes the look. We did have to do some cutting on the trim kit so that it would sit evenly. Not sure if that was the fault of the builder or the trim kit itself.

Would look great if you built the cabinet around the trim kit. Other than that it has lots of gaps around the microwave and sticks out quite a bit. Very cheap looking for a 170 dollar piece of plastic!!

It's a mandatory item if you want a built-in look for the appropriately sized GE Profile microwave. Relatively easy to install. As a professional cabinetmaker, I don't see an issue with durability unless the mounting screws for the plastic face plate are over torqued (causing the face plate to distort or break). Pre-drill the holes for the face plate and secure the screws by hand. Kinda pricey.

Installation couldn't have been easier. Just need a power screwdriver and a measuring tape. The actual frame for the microwave is plastic, but sturdier than expected. It's not quite as sleek as I'd like it to look; it's a little bulky and projects out from the cabinet face by about a half inch. But the options are limited and this is super easy to install so it's worth getting.

Bought this trim kit for the kitchen microwave. I was able to get an open box item so the price was a bit better. The kit to mount the microwave is metal and the trim kit is plastic. The price is a bit high for simple metal and plastic. It gets the job done and looks good.

Was led to believe through GE that this trim kit would fit my newly purchased GE Model # GCST20S1W1SS microwave. It was wider and shorter in height ahan my old unit removed from the cabinet. Returned trim kit for full refund. Still waiting for credit back to my card.

Product came as advertised. Excellent quality and condition. The new trim kit is smaller than the existing holes made for the older models that it replaces. But they do sell stainless steel filler strips on Amazon. Problem solved and looks great.

Home Depot didn't have it and I'm so glad I decided to look at Best Buy. Getting an open box saved me a bundle! These trim kits are so expensive and GE makes it impossible to reuse an old one. Very happy with my purchase. There were no signs of this being used other than the box being open...

This was exactly what I needed to install my GE Microwave. Looks great and was easy to install.

My trim kit was missing the screws when it arrived. I am still trying to find the correct screws to assemble it. When contacting Best Buy they were not able to send me replacement screws. I am still looking for replacement screws. I am hopeful that it will be an easy assembly once I find screws that work.

This looks great but the people at the store sold us the wrong trim kit twice so we ended up keeping this trim kit and getting a new microwave!
