    I use the cable to connect my iPad and iPhone to my MacBook Pro, which only has USB-C ports. It works just fine for that purpose.

    Cord is fine, MacBook got rid of ports so usb c is only choice.. tell me why a 2018 iPhone does not plug into a 2018 MacBook?

    You're gonna need to plug that iPhone in to your MacBook eventually so you might as well just get it yo.

    How much is your peace of mind worth? You can buy cheaper but will they work in the crunch? I have better luck with Apple cables.

    Too bad Apple makes you pay extra for this cable which along with 18w and up power supplies is a necessity to achieve quick charge speeds. Quality construction...seems a little more robust than standard usb-a-to-lightning cables.
