    I bought this to replace a generic cable that only worked sporadically. Save the hassle and just buy the Apple cable.

    This is just a requirement for using the faster 20W adapter for Apple devices. I find it expensive but same quality as the original USB type A cable.

    Too bad Apple makes you pay extra for this cable which along with 18w and up power supplies is a necessity to achieve quick charge speeds. Quality construction...seems a little more robust than standard usb-a-to-lightning cables.
