    Geek Squad failed me

    Within weeks of getting my new ($1000 + $300 for GS coverage) laptop, it began to shut down by itself. The first time I took it in, it didn't do it for the Geek Squad agent and he suggested maybe could need a BIOS update (on a brand-new computer!) The second time, it did it to the agent within minutes of turning on. It also got hot. He took it to send back for repairs in August. In early Oct, the online status updated to say to call Geek Squad. I called and the agent couldn't figure out why they wanted me to call and said the part (couldn't tell me which part) was in and I should have it in a week or two. Haven't seen or heard of it since and no one at Geek Squad on additional calls could figure out what the issue is, why the status said to call, or when I am going to get a working computer back. He said the "go to the store you turned it in to" and ask them! With 5,000 new COVID cases a day here, I shouldn't have to go stand in line at the store to get an answer and a working computer back! I've now been on hold for 30 minutes and counting and have yet to talk to a live person at the store.
