    I bought this to support the HP laptop we just purchased. I normally don't buy extended warranties, but laptops are fragile creatures so I felt it was a good investment. I won't really be able to evaluate the purchase until/unless I make a claim.

    Absolutely dissatisfied. Horrible service; I bought a $1200 laptop and when opened later found out it was dented. Contacted geeksquad to see if they can replace it or fix it for me and they said they couldn’t do anything for me.

    Geek Squad coverage is completely worth it to protect your devices. On this purchase, however, I returned the device and can’t figure out how to get a refund on the protection.

    Geek Squad always tries to help with any problems, but it is a little tuff communicating what is needed with this crazy “year of the virus”.

    I purchased the extra protection to go with my son's new computer. Thankfully, we did not need to utilize the service. It was comforting to know if something should go wrong, we had a back up plan.

    I find that for the most part having an extended warranty is a good thing. You pay extra upfront but in the long run it saves you money on repairs. If they need to send it out it takes forever to get it back sometimes, that the drawback.

    I hadI have very specific with Cheeks for Art in the pan how when my son was ready to use his issue with his warranty want to hear the fire so I never got a chance he would probably be for

    I bought this 3 year plan with my laptop 2 years ago. I brought it in today with a totally black screen. The girl that was helping me told me that repairs are not covered since they could do them in house and not have to ship my laptop out. She also told me that if I spilled something on it, it would have been sent out, and been covered. (Next time I will just say that I spilled something on it.) She said it would be a $100 diagnostic charge plus any repairs parts and labor done. I told her to get a supervisor as I paid almost $500 and didn't see why I should have to pay for the repair. The supervisor came over and said that only software or tech issues are not covered. Any hardware is, and therefore my repair is totally covered. He also said they had to send it out and it would be a minimum of 4 weeks for the repair. After today I would have to think twice before buying the plan again.

    I used GS before on my laptop to get repairs done to the screen. When I received my laptop I noticed the speakers(HarmonKardon) weren't no where near comparable then when I sent them out.

    So far so good, will need to wait a few more years to see if this service is worth it. One possible issue is that the will have your computer for a few weeks while they repair it

    Haven’t had to use them yet so I can’t give a review right now. We used them in the past but wasn’t really happy with the outcome & don’t feel it was helpful.

    Best Buy is to busy and crowed to get the help you need. You will spend an hour in there just waiting to get help from a associate.

    No computer repair yet

    Dropped computer on power button and didnt want to start anymore. Dropped off computer on 5/30 and was told it would take around 2 weeks to repair. On the tracking status is showed computer did not get to repair center until 6/11 where the part was ordered. Computer needed an agent to be assigned for repair on 6/13. And no status since then. No idea when I will get it back. Good thing I dont need it for work or otherwise I would be way more frustrated.

      Hi laura – I’m sorry it is taking longer than expected to get your computer repaired. It sounds like there may be a delay in getting a needed part. Please give your local store a call at the number listed on your service order so they can check into this and hopefully get you an update.

    Was bery friendly amd explained everything clearly. However i had 2 pay a 1 time fee of 199$because they said it was a software issue. Which is NOT covered under 3 yr protection plan

    Don't do it guys. This warranty isn't worth it. They make it seem like they'll cover just about anything but they absolutely won't. I got a gash in the shell of my laptop so I took it into Best Buy and they sent it to the warranty company only for it to get sent back to me with a paper saying it's not covered. They had my laptop for almost two weeks only to not fix it. BestBuy accepted the laptop knowing what the problem was and they still sent it off to this company telling us it would be covered. Both of these companies wasted my time. Apparently they don't cover what they call cosmetic damage even though this scratch is actually a gash into my laptop shell. I won't be buying any warranties from BestBuy in the future now that I've realized they are just a con for more money.

    Not too sure yet how i feel about purchasing this protection plan. I do have rest of mind knowing that my equipment is protected but I hope it's worth the 300 i spent on two years.

    Not a fan of this peace at mind they sale you. I had a repair done on my daughters gaming laptop (the repair was for the screen not the battery.) when we got it back we plugged it in worked great okay awesome. Well she leaves it plugged in normally but one day we wanted to have a bring your system in the living room family gaming night she unplugged it and it shut off it would not turn back on. Unless the power cord was plugged in. took it back asap it happed to be the posted date it”expired”. they said it was already expired and I’m out of luck unless I wanted to pay their repair prices.I called the customer service line they seemed to careless. It’s my fault for not checking their work that’s why I say there is no peace at mind in it. I have 8 kids so I would normally buy the protection plan but not anymore no thank you.
