    I used to swear by geek squad. Now there are so many hoops to jump through it is rarely worthwhile. I needed to repair my sons computer and they wanted me to drive to a store 2 hours away instead of my local best buy. On top of that it took 2 hours to actually speak to a human who understood what i was saying.

    To be honest I don’t know. I usually hate protection plans as products usually break down after it ends. But you never know. It’s like a gamble.

    Not happy with there service. Purchased 2 Samasung Galaxy A71 5g phone got the protection. My phone got accidentally dropped out of my pocket during winter it hit a ice chunk shattered the screen. Drove 1hr ina half to bestbuy to be shipped a replacement that was refurbished not new replacement and i paid the deductible for a used piece of crap replacement. Why dont they let you get a replacement in store for the same price of your phone I was ripped off by bestbuy an geeksquad the phone were 600 a piece. SO WORD TO THE WARNING DONT GET THIS.

    It’s a good plan as my wife accidentally dropped our Lenovo and the screen cracked. The only problem I faced were the constant changes they kept making when I turned it in to get fixed. All in all it took about a month and half to get a simple screen fixed. They never called texted or emailed to update us on the status.

    Terrible customer service does whatever even when I say no parts are missing asked for investigation throughly but they always just ignore

    Refund AND Weird Warranty Issue

    First issue rose when the fan was making a metal on metal grating sound. Brought it in to Best Buy and they kept it for a week and adjusted the fan. Problem solved. Second issue arose within 9 months when the CPU and GPU started spiking. Computer would become unresponsive. On other occasions, the computer would not connect with the monitor. Brought it to Best Buy on original warranty for repair, since computers are so hard to find these days, and was issued store credit. Now, I have no computer and will have big problems trying to find a comparable one. And, I'm stuck with Best Buy credit, so I'm limited to shopping there. One more thing! I purchased the 3 year warranty, but Best Buy claims there is a different service where they could have looked at my computer "in-house," thereby making repairs quicker. Why did my 3 year warranty, which was very expensive, not include this service? Best Buy, you are selling competing, or at least confusing, services.

    I usually have problems with this feel squad telling me they have to send my stuff off then it comes back more broken in some areas than others.

    I don't think the Geek Squad employees are happy with their jobs. I have no plans on ever trying to use their services again. I understand people having bad days, but when an employee tries to treat me like I don't know what is good for my devices there is an issue.
