On items such as DLSR cameras, which can tend to be faulty, it's definitely worth getting if you are approaching the $1000 range.

This was the worst customer service. I called to make appt to have camera cleaned as per my protection plan...drove hour and half just to be told they don't clean them. The geek squad didn't seem to have a clue and the people at service number was total clueless. What is the plan good for if they don't honor it....just more money for them
