    I like to have the security of knowing that if something happens to my device when it is still fairly new that it will be repaired or replaced without charge to me. If I do not use it, then it was good insurance. I have had a few devices over the years that have failed and were refunded the entire purchased price plus any unused warranty to spend on a new item.

    Solved Laptop Issues Easily

    The good squad was very helpful when solving my issues with my laptop. The staff were very friendly and helped me through the whole process. I had wrinkles in my screen and they were able to help me get that issue resolved. Would highly recommend this for warranty for everyone!

    The reassurance you get for a replacement plan is simply unmatched with Best Buy and their large range of support across America. The competition hardly compares with GeekSquad!

    Only store credit, questionable warranty practices

    Best Buy determined my laptop met the criteria for replacement, since it completely failed after about 4.5 months of use. However, these warranties are STORE CREDIT or REPLACEMENT ONLY. The terms — which aren’t well presented and are buried in 500+ Q&A entries or an obscure online PDF — show that they do not do cash reimbursement. This is disingenuous. When you’re buying the warranty, the product page proudly lists all the benefits, but never mentions that they don’t do cash or check reimbursement. Why hide that fact unless you don't want people to see it? And it gets worse. The warranty (depot) people tell you to talk to the store for anything even remotely related to replacement or reimbursement. When you talk to the store, they tell you that if you want any change in your warranty reimbursement or resolution, you need to talk to the depot. It’s absurd, anti-consumer, and dubious. At best. And here’s another one: if you call your local store number— you get the main call center. You have to press the right buttons in the automated menu to talk to the right person in the right department, who will then transfer you to the store. Yes, you are, in fact, meant to get the runaround. They just want you in THE STORE. I will tell everyone: do not buy anything that requires a warranty from Best Buy. Valuable products need warranties, and once you buy one from them, you’re trapped in their ecosystem and forced to keep doing business with them in the future. If you want a warranty for the replacement?? You’ll be right back on this page again.

    So far so good. I’ve not had to use it yet for this item, but I purchased it as a precaution due to Best Buy’s warranties have always helped me when I needed them. I drop and break my laptops, cell phones, etc more often than I’d like plus I also have three kids. This plan is a must.

    Any purchase through Geek Squad is a smart one. This is a consumer-oriented company that values and respects its customers by offering quality products and merchandise at a fair price. The costs for this 3 -year Accidental Geek Squad Protection plan is nothing compared to the value I will be getting. Technology is pricey and a warranty ends after 12 months. This plan protects my pocketbook for the next 3 years.

    I absolutely love using geek squad. We have used it for years. It has better services than other stores that deal with electronics. We have kids, so they manage to do the dumbest things, then we have a great opportunity to replace them.

    After we bought a new HP laptop we had to get two others and my PC tower all changed over to Windows 10 before Microsoft quit doing any updates on our Windows 7. Naturally we bought the Geek Squad protection in the event that we had any problems. We had to take all of them back in because things just weren't running right with each of the older systems The Geek Squad always came through and fixed the problems and we had our computers back in no time.

    It is always worth getting protection on your electronics. I always try to get the max protection that geek squad offers because when they say that it covers everything they do. In the past they have repaired crack screens, spilled liquid damage, the blue screen of death and other things as well. Trust me this more than pays for itself, especially if there are children in the home who aren't as careful as you would wish them to be.

    The Geeks are the best! They take care of every issue I come across. All I have to do is call them and they take over. With the remote access they are able to access my machine and find and correct the problem every time. A lot of times they are able to just tell me what to do without taking over my machine. I live 50 miles from the nearest Best Buy/Geek Squad store and am far more confident with their expertise than what I can find locally.

    Have not had to use it yet but use them in the past. Always helpful and very knowledgeable when I need them. Have this again for another purchase review will be the same every time. They are great.

    You honestly can not go wrong with geek squad service. They are super fast and friendly. All you have to do is give them a call or go online. No question they have not been able to answer for me. There has been several times i have messed up my computer (letting kids play games) where i end up just getting online and having geek squad fix it. They never treat me with disrespect or make me feel stupid. They would fix my computer and even offer different suggstions which helped me greatly! I will always have geek squad as my service.

    Excellent processor and touch screen works well my only problem is with the micrsoft office software. Once purchased its all Edge you cannot choose or have google as your search engine nor do you have google chrome which a lot of schools use for procturing with HonorLock for testing or homework submission. HonorLock btw is a horrible program it never works properly.

    Have a minor issue with my son’s new computer. We were able to schedule a Geek Squad appointment online super easily. It is for the next day so that is convenient since my son needs his computer for college classes.
