Having this pre-installed was a time & stress saver. Geek Squad also transferred all of my files & folders from my old pc to my new one. When I picked up my pc from them it was ready to use.

These protection plans are always a good deal. Best part Is Best Buy doesnt hassle you when something goes wrong and they need to replace It or fix it.

Read the fine print. If they decide, at their discretion, to replace the covered item, rather than repair it, they will issue you a store credit for the amount of the original purchase. However, the fine print states that in that case, their obligations for the extended waranty ar3 fully satisfied. Meaning, while you will get a store credit to buy a new device, your new device will not have the extended waranty. If you want that, you will need to pay for it again again. Basically in my case, i prepaid $309 to allow me to return my defective machine after the return period expired. I have a new machine, but i have no extended waranty, and less storage due to pricing and feature differences for in stock items. The terms stated in the simplified description are misleading and i do not recommend this service.

A must have with these devices. Never buy a device without it. It’s best to have it and not use it then not to have it. Get it!!

My laptop isn’t covered because the CPU that the manufacturer installed isn’t installed correctly. I have no idea how to do it. I need a working laptop

I know it has a warranty just got this for an extra cushion. I have used the squad before they are so helpful.

Always goo to have. I hope to never use it. My previous computer was on a first name basis with geek squad. Lets hope my new computer does not need them, but it is available.

You never wanna buy some of that or warranty because if so, you pay more overtime

Purchased for the new Dell and exactly what I needed. Been a year and haven't needed it yet, but grateful for just in case.

Beware of these geek squad guys telling you to use the warranty when the insurance covers nearly everything.

I have never had an issue when having to replace a defective product under this plan. Best Buy is awesome about standing behind their products that they sell and making sure their customers leave the store completely satisified.

I have been able to get in touch with Geek Squad for all of my electronic needs. I have brought in multiple computers with viruses and other similar issues and within a few days the issues are resolved with great customer service
