    What can you say geek squad does great things they always fix my things when I need them or tell me what I need to do to replace parts or all of it so they’re useful

    This service is definitely great to have, that is, if you’re not that great at taking care of your personal items. Just being blunt so take this with a grain of salt and don’t be salty. If you’re that person, then please do buy this 1 year service. It’s worth it! As for me, I have OCD when it comes to taking care of my electronics so if you’re like me then I don’t recommend this.

    Geek Squad was great about letting me replace my laptop when it needed a third repair. Deducted a star for the somewhat misleading sales pitch I was given. I was promised that I would be refunded the regular/replacement cost of the laptop, and I was only given back my purchase price. I purchased the laptop open box.

    I'm really glad we purchased the extended warranty For this laptop and Best Buy did their best to try and get the laptop repaired but after the second time of it failing quickly for the exact same problem, they refunded me the original purchase price without any difficulty. Thank you Best Buy for saving Santa's reputation!! (The original laptop arrived from Santa at Christmas)

    I ordered an open Box EXCELLENT conditions option, however it came with multiple scratches, dent, and even the screen with a noticeable line across the screen. On top of delays receiving this laptop due to ups and poor customer service. I have previously purchased another excellent condition open box and it was like new / I’m pretty sure they grabbed a fair condition used laptop and sent this one. Best Buy is disappointing.

    This has been the best laptop I have ever purchased. It is a very fast computer, the touch screen is awesome and I love the fact that it has a number pad on the side of the keyboard. Overall it is a great price for a great product. You won't be disappointed.

    Only store credit, questionable warranty practices

    Best Buy determined my laptop met the criteria for replacement, since it completely failed after about 4.5 months of use. However, these warranties are STORE CREDIT or REPLACEMENT ONLY. The terms — which aren’t well presented and are buried in 500+ Q&A entries or an obscure online PDF — show that they do not do cash reimbursement. This is disingenuous. When you’re buying the warranty, the product page proudly lists all the benefits, but never mentions that they don’t do cash or check reimbursement. Why hide that fact unless you don't want people to see it? And it gets worse. The warranty (depot) people tell you to talk to the store for anything even remotely related to replacement or reimbursement. When you talk to the store, they tell you that if you want any change in your warranty reimbursement or resolution, you need to talk to the depot. It’s absurd, anti-consumer, and dubious. At best. And here’s another one: if you call your local store number— you get the main call center. You have to press the right buttons in the automated menu to talk to the right person in the right department, who will then transfer you to the store. Yes, you are, in fact, meant to get the runaround. They just want you in THE STORE. I will tell everyone: do not buy anything that requires a warranty from Best Buy. Valuable products need warranties, and once you buy one from them, you’re trapped in their ecosystem and forced to keep doing business with them in the future. If you want a warranty for the replacement?? You’ll be right back on this page again.

    Good Insurance Coverage

    I purchased the Accidental Geek Squad Protection when I purchased my new HP Envy laptop. I figured seeing that I just spent all this money on a new laptop, why not spend just a little bit on an insurance protection. The Agent mentioned some of the items this would cover and I thought, well, why not. If I didn't have this I would probably end up needing it and it might end up costing a lot more for repair in the long run. This was a chance purchase.
