Geek squad protection

Only worth it if device is more expensive to repair or replace than the cost of protection plan.

I dropped of the receiver for service last month. Still waiting for the repair to complete. So for an extra $55 dollars, I am not sure it is worth it as the repair time is probably no quicker than the factory warranty would be.

Warranty for open box

The Geek Squad helped us recover our data and get it installed on the new replacement (I Dell I also reviewed). We decided to buy the 3-year Geek Squad Protection Plan for the new one as well.
