I've been very fortunate that my laptops haven't broken down on me. I just bough a new HP Pavilion x360 and it was on the pricier side. Buying this warranty gave me some piece in mind that if something would go wrong or if I spilled coffee on my laptop, I would be protected.

Protection plans as usually a good thing to get in addition to manufacturing warranties. Always check what coverage you have included.

This plan protects everything in the box. Laptop and cord. They will help you with anything anytime, appointment or not. Very helpful service associates. Really worth it if you plan to use device for an extended period of time doing the same thing (college, job, business, etc)

I bought the Geek Squad protection to cover my new laptop after the manufacture warranty expires I normally pass on this option, but due to the cost of the laptop, I thought I would pay extra for the peace of mind. Is it really needed? I don't know, only time will tell.

A must have. With kids at home, you have the risk of spilling liquids or dropping the laptop. This covers accidental damage, so go for it.

I paid the additional cost for a person to come to the hosue and it was WELL worth it. He did a great job setting up my printer with all my devices in the house. He did it in less than a hour, it would have taken me a couple of hours to figure it all out.

I am so happy to have the geek squad protection. I cant even tell you how many times I have used this. It is beyond worth it to have this you never know what tech issues you may run into that you will be assistance with.

My computer has been having some issues and I'm so happy I purchased the Geek Squad service. While sending a laptop out would take a few weeks too long at this point. I do plan on taking advantage of the service before the three years is up.

When I went to turn my laptop on, nothing came up. No matter how we tried to get it up and running, nothing happened. Brought it to Best Buy and the Geek Squad checked it out. Seems as though the battery somehow came loose and is working just fine.

I recently had a problem with my Lenovo Yoga 730 laptop. It was not charging the battery so I had to send it in. It was still under the 1 year manufacturer's warranty but I needed it back quick so decided to take it in and let the GEEK Squad take care of me faster! HA! Geek Squad informed me that it would take 6 weeks for them to replace my battery!!! SIX WEEKS!!! Needless to say Lenovo got it back to me quicker (though not the 5 days they estimated - it was almost 3 weeks). I always buy the Geek Squad for my devices but this was my first time ever almost having to use it. I ended up having to buy a cheap computer to get me through so I wasn't computer-less. I'm disappointed in the estimated turn around time I was given by Geek Squad. Other than that I hope I'll never have to use Geek Squad ever, but I figure paying for it is still worth it for a computer that's worth over $1000.

So far they have answered all my questions and has helped get this laptop setup for frequent use. I have the 3 year accidental warranty because my daughter is 9 and I know accidents can happen,

Accidentally knocked the laptop off the desk. It suffered a minor dent in the corner but what was affected was the charging portal. Geek Squad tried to fix it but couldn't. They replaced the laptop for a new one. I'm so glad we purchased the Geek Squad protection.

Thank goodness there is extra insurance offered when I bought my laptop. I had a situation that it fell in the floor and cracked the lid and hinge. Because I had insurance geek squad repaired it for free and the process was simple. Customer service was very helpful and I received updates to my email in status. Thank you best buy

Bought a surface pro for son, 3yr plan he cracked the glass they replaced it with a new one. 2 and a half years in on plan cracked screen again they said the surface pro we had was not available anymore so the gave us full credit back from original price of purchase.
