    I wish I had been made aware at time of purchase that apparently this does not cover online support. That is a whole other SEPARATE CHARGE. You have to purchase another plan in order to get online support. And what is also bad is I never received the e-mail detailing what this plan entails. Not sure if this is actually worth the $169 I paid for it. I am disappointed and feel a bit ripped off. So now I have to unhook and drag in a computer system that is not performing up to par based on Benchmark results. A 2 month old computer system that cost over $1300 that my husband got for me.

    I ended up purchasing total care to fix my computer issue. When I needed the fix, they acted like this 2 year warranty wasn’t enough and I needed total tech.

    When you invest a few pennies in to a piece of electronics you at least want to keep working until you have it paid for - whether be in coins or the purpose of the original purchase.

    I ordered a computer with Geeek Squad 1 yr plan and this was a mistake. I meant to put 3 year plan. While the computer was in the warehouse they refused to change it to a 3 year subscription even though the computer had not shipped yet. I called within 24 hours of purchase. Made no difference to them. Totally inflexible so I will refuse computer delivery and it will be sent back to best buy at their cost. The plan had nothing to do with the shipment of the computer, it was just a piece of paper.

    Bought an open box computer thinking that if something went wrong it would be covered. Unfortunately this protection is misleading and my only option was to pay for another $180 plan.

    Warranty Loses Value Immediately

    Even though the extended warranty starts after the manufacturer warranty, it starts losing value immediately. We purchased a 2 year extended warranty that extended the manufacturer's 1 year warranty on our computer tower. However, when we had the unit serviced under the manufacturer's 1 year warranty due to performance issues, Best Buy "totaled" the tower and gave us a full refund. HOWEVER, when we purchased the new tower, we had to pay EXTRA for the new 2 year extended warranty. Even though we were still within the 1 year manufacturer's warranty, Best Buy charged us extra to purchase the extended warranty (on top of our refund for that warranty) because some of the time had lapsed. So, you purchase two extra years which are supposed to start after the manufacturer's warranty, BUT the time starts ticking immediately in regards to to the value of the warranty.

    The Computer is great overall!!! But when it comes to the protection plan that I have purchased, it should not take approximately 2 months for me to receive a replacement keyboard. I have dealt with constant calling to get help to resolve this issue just to be running around in a circle because someone on their end wasn't doing their job. Anyhow!!! After darn near 7 times speaking to multiple agents, supervisors as well as having this matter escalated 2 times. I finally gave up, then boom, 2 weeks later after the month long cat and mouse back and forth, the keyboard was finally delivered. I expect that if I paid for a protection plan and having so much trouble, I should at least be compensated in some way shape or form. BEST BUY, I LOVE YA'LL BUT YA'LL NEED TO DO BETTER!!! Customer service was nice when having to speak to someone, but there was a few in between, who seemed so non chalaunt and dismissive!!! If you don't like your job, get another job!! But don't treat paying and supportive customers like CRAP with a CRAPPY attitude, when we customers are the ones dealing with the problems at hand and just simply calling in to get the problem resolved peacefully!!! I would recommend Geek Squad of course, but please do better!!!! I spend lots of money on different accounts whether, online or instore , cash or credit!!! and when I spend, I spend...Because I LIKE NICE THINGS!!!!

    When I brought my computer to Geek Squad, the team member refused to run a diagnostic on it because my monitor didn't have a warranty. I paid over 1k for this desktop, and I do not help fix my laptop because it does not have a "Best Buy" monitor.
