    If your buying something and your worried about its durability definitely worth total protection plan from geekquad. It paid for itself and then some on replacement items.

    This is the main reason I shop at Best Buy.. Return and exchange policy is fair but going that extra step with the Geek Squad makes it all worthwhile. I never buy anything without it that is worth value. It has saved me thousands of dollars and headaches too.

    Geek Squad is the most awesome protection power a person can have. It give comfort to the fact of knowing that you are protecting your products while enjoying them. Accidents do happen. Functions aren't always perfect. No worries, geek squad is here.

    Definitely worth the money because you can just going to the store and exchange it for the same thing and you don't have to wait the 3 to 6 weeks that you do on some of the other warranties

    I bought this since the device was for my son and I was told in the store if he brakes the portable did player the protection would replace it. 15 dollars well spent

    I purchased this for a personal DVD player to use in the car. My six year old will be using it and I love not having to worry about her accidentally breaking it.

    When I had to return my product and ask for replacement best buy geek squad charged me again another 40 dollars to cover the product. I asked why if I still had 2 years remaining. They said every time you get a replacement after the 1 year product warranty you have to renew your coverage. Not happy about this kind of coverage.

    I’m assuming that the lack of customer service is because of Covid but getting an appointment is beyond ridiculous. Not only do you have to wait for the appointment but then you have to wait at the store in line for the scheduled appointment. What’s the point if you’re stuck waiting in a line instead of being helped at the scheduled time.

    When I replaced my portable DVD under this coverage I was told to pay 40 dollars to renew coverage on the new device. Not good.

    I always purchase the extra warranty with geek squad every time I purchase an appliance from Best Buy. I just love how reliable and truthful they are. They will always try their best to fix the problem, but if not, they will just issue you a credit that you can use on your future purchases at the store.

    Very Important optional purchase

    I always get this for the items I purchase at Best Buy. Simply because "you never know." Things happen, components fail, and it just gives me peace-of-mind. So often I found that my devices fail just after the manufacturer's warranty expires. This 3-year accidental Geek Squad Protection is like a safety net; it extends the time period for malfunctions past the paltry one-year period, and also covers accidental damage that the original warranty would not cover--like liquid damage, or drops. I feel like they always have me covered--such as in a few days ago when after doing some Windows Updates, my son's computer failed to boot properly, and began power-cycling, and then the power started to fail. The only downside to this is that repairs are done out-of-state, at their facility in Kentucky, so we are without the computer for 6-8 weeks (according to the Geek Squad staff) but hopefully sooner. If the computer cannot be repaired, then we can get a replacement. That really is assuring. Just dropped a star because this process takes so long...
