The cost is a little more then some other companies however I have Never had any problems with Bestbuys protection plans and they even keep the information for you and you can check on how much time you have left for your plan no need to find you receipt.

wise to have the protection, though Best Buy sells it as being higher-value than it is. More steps and less easy than promised, but still helpful

I have always purchased the Best Buy protection plan over the years for high end electronics. I have had to use the plan twice in ten years and couldn't be happier with the results! I purchased this extended warranty for an expensive camera lens on the recommendation of a BB salesman I trusted. I'm so glad I did! When I accidentally broke the lens, the extended warranty covered a new lens replacement. The price of this warranty was worth it!

When making a big purchase I definitely suggest getting this protection. It's just another sure fire way to know your product is insured and you never have to worry about if something happens to your gear.

Best protection plan for lens!! Well worth the money as My original lens was nearly a year old when it malfunctioned. No questions asked, after 3 times out for repair, they replace it. I would suggest, however, that after the 2nd tike out, same issue, it's most likely going to neee to be replaced...jus sayin'

I've never had any issues with protection plans. I've never used Geek Squad to set anything up because I do it all myself.

I've had one problem when I dropped my camera and broke my lens. I took it in dropped it off, a week later it was replaced and returned to me at no charge and as promised. The best trouble-free transaction/coverage I have ever had.

I am a big supporter of Geek Squad coverage! Better to have it and not need it, than need it, and not have it!

Nothing beats getting insurance, I highly recommend it I have replaced my camera 2 times and it was because of damage I caused. I was lucky to have insurance my product was exchanged for the exact same one with no issues

Everyone says they're good with they're electronics, but I'm telling you... When the day comes, and it gets hit the wrong way, or something small breaks, you. Will. Feel. Awful. Buy the protection plan, and gain peace of mind. If not three, at least one year Incase you rarely use it

My protection is out of warranty now and I didn't need to use it. Wasted money? perhaps. However, the peace of mind that it was there, was very beneficial if something had come up for what it was bought.

Over the years, I have purchased several pieces of Nikon camera equipment (Nikon D7100, 24-70mm f/2.8 vr, 70-200mm f/2.8 vr, and SB700 speedlight) from Best Buy. The accidental protection plan has already saved me thousands of dollars in replacement costs. It is worth the extra cost.
