    Well, as of this time we have not needed support by Gee Squad but expect they will provide support if we need it. TV was straight forward to set up

    The protection plan is good overall. What I don't like is it doesn't kick in until a year after you purchase which wasn't obvious when I bought the TV. You have to go through the TV provider for the first year on most models. So, basically, you are paying for a 4 year plan instead of a 5 year, because you can't use the plan in the first year of owning your tv. The bottom line, you shouldn't be charged for a 5 year plan if it is only good for 4 years.

    I was ready to order my TV online and was in my cart. I figured since I had to pick it up in the store, I may as well take a look at it first. I went to the store to see it but they did not have that tv up. Online it offered 3 years geek squad for $74.99 which I wanted but since I was there I bought it in store. Near the end of sale the guy said 3 year warranty was not available in store. He said 2 year year for $69.99 or 5 year for $124.99. For $5 extra I could have gotten an extra year. Didn’t want to tell him to void the sale in case he was making commission during these tough times. Any ch as nice I can upgrade my warranty?

    Geek Squad installed my GE washer and dryer

    The Squad installed my GE washer and dryer. It wasn’t easy. The configuration we had in mind was ok and would have worked but suggestions from the installation crew changed my mind. My wife was incredibly pleased with the change! They earned me some wife points. Lol. Now I am having them return and install pedestals under each!

    Always purchase the Geek Squad Svc Agreement

    Best Buy offers Geek Squad protection and service agreements on all their TV's, computers, appliances, etc. The service agreement packages are all fairly reasonable, and since most manufacturers only guarantee their products for one year, extending the warranty through Geek Squad is a great value. Over the past ten years, I have purchased multiple TV's and computers through Best Buy. I have also purchased service agreements for all those purchases. On several occasions, my TV or computer has needed a repair at apprx the 5 year mark (from date of purchase). Geek Squad diagnosed the issue and determined that the product needed to be replaced. Since I had an extended warranty, Best Buy delivered a brand new product. No hassels, just good service.

    Ok so shortly after I set up my new Sony 65” 4K tv I found that I couldn’t hook it up to my receiver because being an older model it had no HDMI connections. Before setting out to buy a new one I decided to call in the geek squad to see if there were other options. It just so happens that I did have an optical connection for a cable and he had one with him too. It enabled me to utilize my sound system but only to about 80% of its capacity because the HDMI cable Carrie’s so much more capabilities with sound. So I’m using it like this for now until I can get a new receiver. Trouble was I had to pay for the cable because it wasn’t covered.

    Help me with the set up of new computer

    I had purchased a new computer and the GEEK SQUAD help me set up my new computer and transfer all my old info and stuff from the old computer (which was completely dead) to my new computer. They answer all my questions. I have had to call them a couple of times and they walked me through my problems. I would have been lost without them.

    It's always good to be able to call someone in when things go wrong. The last time I had a TV just break with seemingly no fix, the technician spent almost a week trying to fix it before I was provided with a replacement. I have always purchased coverage any time I buy a TV from best buy because of that.

    I was happy to purchase it because it came in handy when my TV started turning off by itself it was replaced seamlessly and the person at The geek squad was the next exceptional at his customer serviceability even though the manager of the store was rude to me

    I purchased the five year geek squad plan. Lo and behold my expensive $2000 Sony TV decided to not work one day. Called up the geek squad and they arranged to have it fixed. No hassle no extra cost. The only thing I had to do was make a phone call. Best Buy and geek squad took care of everything. I purchased a second television from Best Buy also purchased a geek squad plan for five years. It a peace of mind that your television is going to be taken care of. “One call that’s all” LOL

    I purchased the five-year protection plan on our old TV 4 1/2 years ago. With only six months left on the plan, the old TV started losing its connection to the internet and the menus began malfunctioning and didn't respond as intended. After attempting to repair the old TV without success, Geek Squad honored the plan and refunded every dime of the purchase price and also the plan price. How do you beat that? No wonder their Number ONE in customer service and support! Needless to say, I bought a new TV with a new five-years plan.
