    Repairs or replacement you dont have to worry for a long time with this buy. If you have the money for it, why not! Esp since newer appliances don't seem to last now a day.

    Geek squad is very good for yout warranty there very fast to get your product fix if they can't fix they will give you a store credit to purchase anything in bestbuy store

    Really can’t give a review of service since I haven’t needed to use it. But I like knowing if something does go wrong with product purchased I have coverage at a reasonable cost.

    Geek Squad service for 'peace of mind'.

    I was able to install the TV and start it up without need of help from the Geek Squad service. However, I thought that having the Geek Squad service available for 5 years was a good idea for a peace of mind, like an insurance policy. Typically Consumer Report Magazine does not recommend this type of coverage as electronic devices are generally very reliable and long lasting. Indeed and interesting, my previous 48" Flat Screen TV failed exactly 5 days after my 5-year Geek Squad service expired. During those 5 years I did not need any service from the Geek Squad. Hope this TV lasts longer then 5 years and 5 days!

    All good so far as I haven't had to use the extended protection at this point. I will say though that in the distant past (back when a 65in Pioneer Plasma TV cost between $9,000 -10,000) they allowed an extension of the original extended warranty and honored their coverage in about year 8 of warranty replacing that TV with an equivalent unit (now Panasonic) which is still in use today some 14 years from the original purchase and still a great TV especially for sports, action and 3D movies.

    I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

    I purchased the 5 year warrant thank God I did. The tv went bad in the fourth year and I was able to get the money back I paid for the tv and got a brand new tv. Well worth it.

    Best Service around - Geek Squad

    The agents mounted my TV and installed all my speakers and hooked up my subwoofer, Satellite DVD, and all my extras in every room, they also went an extra step and were able to have the cords come out near the electric plugs so the wires were not hanging everywhere. Very professional job and they were very nice during the process.

    I think it's a very good option I'll buy the guarantee since it covers any damage and you're calm and you won't lose your investment I recommend them

    TV under Geek Squad

    My tv had went out after two years and I remembered I had purchased the Geek Squad. They replaced the tv and schedule delivery/pick up and the morning of, I get a voice mail, our guy is sick. I took the old and picked up the new and received a $20 gift card for my troubles.

    Great service-I always get this with my purchases. I’ve NEVER had an issue. They even gave me credit on an item that was discontinued but still within warranty-wow!

    GEEK SQUAD 2 YEAR PROTECTION PLAN

    I purchased Geek Squad for a open box TV I purchased and I give me a since of comfort. I like knowing if i have any problems with a large expense item, its covered by professional technical associates. I've used geek squad services in the past with my laptop and their services helped me in the most necessary time, during college. Thank you Best Buy for having the a very reliable service, Geek Squad is great!
