    For me, this is a 'Better Safe Than Sorry Plan'. Thankfully, I have not needed to use it yet, but better to have it.

    Was lied to about coverage

    Asked salesperson about what all warranty covered. Was told EVERYTHNG if I bought the most expensive protection offered , so I bought what was SUPPOSED to be the top of the line. Salesperson showed me a pamphlet that showed accidental damage covered since I was worried about having young children and buying a expensive TV. HOPED to NEVER have to use warranty but lo and behold the kids hit and cracked the screen with a ball while playing in the house. Called and was told only thing warranty covers is IF it quits working other that damage.

    I reported that my TV quit. A repair guy came out and said it needed a part. That was over a month ago. On the phone you get the run around as Geek Squad hires outside agents for their TV work and no one assumes responsibility. I've been waiting for 30+ minutes for the latest phone transfer. They are not even trying. I've never encountered this level of incompetent/indifference from a major company before.

    Well if you buy a computer they are helpful. The problem is I bought a TV and they give zero advice about setup instructions. They inform you that they can send someone out to install it for you or call the manufacturer. So the only good thing about an extended warranty with Best Buy is that you can return it to Best Buy instead of dealing with the manufacturer.

    I had to have tv replaced before 5 years up, but you lose remaining warranty whenever replaced. Not really 5 year warranty then.

    They delivered a clearly broken tv. Cancelled the delivery of a functioning tv twice. Then when finally delivered they didn't send a twam that would mount it. They wanted to schedule 2 weeks out. My black friday purchase won't be fully installed until 2025.

    Poor TECH SERVICE NEVER FIXED ISSUE

    To date add I have 4 more years left on this, Geek Squad Tech personal are useless so far . They were here months ago on my new 4k tv set trying to get surrond sound correct with my home theater after I quizzed before I purchased that it would work with my already owned Home Theater System. It did not so I reached out under my purchased warranty . The tech came , was stumped , I knew more about it then the Tech. The Tech then calls another tech expert and then advised me someone else would contact for they could not figure out my issues. 4 months later still waiting to hear back.

    Bought a tv with the warranty for peace of mind Best Buy had meon wait for 20 minutes to have me call the manufacturer who was closed to wait of the phone another who knows how long to get back with geek squad

    Why bother with the 2 Year Geek Protection Plan?

    I purchased a Samsung 24"Smart HDTV for my teenage son in June 2016 (4 MONTHS AGO).3 weeks ago, we turned the TV on in the morning and the pixels were a mess. Took it to the store and they claim the inside screen had been damaged maybe by something hitting the screen, there was no crack or damage to the outside screen. My son wasn't even there to use the TV that morning we have no clue how it could have been damaged. So they sent it out to be repaired which is the ONLY thing this Protection plan covered. Again. 3 weeks later(long time to get to the repair facility), I get a call this morning saying it would cost $300 odd bucks to FIX the TV. REALLY? That's more than the TV cost!!!!! Never again, meaning I won't be buying my TV's from Best Buy anymore, the protection plan is not worth it.

    Too few agents. Too long to schedule. On one scheduled home service made at Park Lane Store Dallas, agent was dispatched to a residence in Arizona. I have a service contract.
