    No use for protection, I had a gaming monitor under 2-year protection and I was told if anything happened to it I could use that protection to replace it, and was told I couldn't. Very Poor

    Geek Squad wouldn’t take my TV.

    I called best buy and ended up being transferred to Geek Squad for my Tv. I asked Do i just bring the Tv into Best Buy? worker said Yes, Bring it and we’ll take it from there. just to be told when we get there we have to set an appointment and it cannot be fixed today. When we first bought the Tv the sales associate told us that if the tv were to break that we would be replaced with a new one right away.

While Geek Squad Protection for televisions would cover things such as malfunctioning internal components and dead pixels from the result of normal use, it wouldn’t cover accidental damage from handling.     I had the worst experience with my TV repair issue with the Geek Squad team @ the King Of Prussia Best Buy Location. The TV Display had a problem and without even diagnosing they determined its an external damage and refused to accept the TV for Repair. Despite having coverage, I was denied support and had to face very rude behavior from the technician and store manager. This experience has led me to believe that the customer service and the geek squad protection are to no avail from best buy and I would never recommend any large purchases from Best Buy to anyone.

    I haven't used their service, but I do wish the price was lower. I think this is a bit expensive for something most people will not need to ever use.

    My LG tv went out randomly, called Geek Squad just too try and get it fixed since i purchased the protection. when its time to use it, they send a 3rd part company to check out for tv for 2 minutes, just to call you the next day to let you know they dont know what the part number is, now i have to wait for LG to get back to them, now im forced to wait up to 4 weeks in order to use my TV again! at this point id rather just buy a new and not from best buy

    beware if you buy this, they will give you a gift card and not a refund on your purchase. Learned this the hard way.

    I wouldn’t have gotten this protection if I knew it doesn’t cover for screen damage what a waste

    This is a review of the Geek Squad phone service, not the the field technicians. We had a TV that went bad and the problem went on forever. It took over 60 days and 5 field visits for the problem to finally be fixed. No geek squad member could ever give me a straight answer on the phone and 1 day I spoke to 10 different people and got hung up on 4 times. Finally after 2 months my great field technician was able to get me the ability to swap out for a new TV. Geek Squad was totally lacking on this warranty issue and if I didnt get a gift card to Best Buy for my junk TV to get a new one I would totally purchase through Amazon as their no hassle return policy is a lot better then the Geek Squad experience I had to deal with.

    Terrible purchase in my opinion. They tell you what it will cover when your there in person. But I’m reality they just lie to get you to buy the protection plan. Be sure to read the fine print in the protection plan.!!

    Had this tv for 4 months and the led backlight has gone out. Can’t even make it through 10 minutes of on time without it going black.

    When one of our screens got cracked it was not covered by this plan. The glasses I these tvs r paper thin and just a small wrong twist can break them. And it's not covered. Plan on having to purchase a whole new tv. I've had to replace two now.

    I was told by geek squad the extra coverage protects from accidental damage. It does NOT, it is a scam to get you to pay more for a service knowing it does not cover.
