    I buy Geek squad coverage with everything I buy from Bestbuy that costs more than two hundred bucks! I've actually only had to use the geek squad service once, but it paid for itself that one time for every time I've bought it! A laptop I bought my wife for school died during finals for her master's program and they ended up giving me a new laptop and they were able to backup all of her files and they were very fast with everything, so long story short; if you buy a major appliance or expensive piece of electronics from Bestbuy spend the extra money for the Geek squad service!

    the process was straight forward, my only complaint was that it was required by bestbuy to have ppl come out to my house to retrieve my broken tv and deliver the new one. I was more than happy to take it back to the store myself and swap it same day, but bc of bestbuy policy, I had to go 2 days without a tv.

    Get one. Had a Sharp TV several years ago. It started to die about 2 months before my extended warranty expired. Best Buy sent a technician to my home and when he found that he couldn't replace a defective part, BB refunded my original purchase price and even prorated what was left on the warranty.

    By far the best protection plan for any TV . I wouldn’t buy a TV without this protection plan ! Tv bought in 2017 just had the screen go out on me , so Geek squad came and looked at it (now being 2022 and the TV is almost 5 years old ) and determined it couldn’t be fixed so I received the full amount of what I had paid for the TV , to purchase a new one. Once again , totally worth every penny and best protection plan that was easy to use and fast to fix the issue.

    LG C2 42” - Great as PC Monitor

    I got the 42” to use as a PC monitor and its been excellent. Blows away every other monitor I’ve used in the past and the added versatility is a nice value add. I’ve had no problem with the auto adjusting brightness limiter and don’t mind having to turn the TV on first (as opposed to how monitors will just wake from sleep), but YMMV.

    My son's tv went blank a year after purchasing it. I bought the 5 year warranty for the tv. I called geek squad and they told me that tv was not in stock. So they upgraded me to the next best tv available. Three days later the tv was delivered and they took the old tv back with them. Service was on point.

    I used for my Sony Bravia, when I reached to Greek Squad team then helped me with correct directions and get it replaced as tv got water drops and lines on screen..

    I always get a 2 year or 3 year protection plan with anything buy from Best Buy. Although we already have the my Best Buy protection plan

    I had this protection service on my former LG TV that failed after 3 years of use. The Best Buy customer service personnel assisted me efficiently and effectively with guiding me through the process of selecting a TV and setting up delivery for my new replacement TV.

    Geek Squad 5 year Protection Plan

    TV developed fine horizontal lines couple months ago, picture sometimes delayed coming up on my 50” TV. Called Geek Squad and the next day servicemen were here, parts ordered and they were back a week later. Upon their inspection they called for the TV to be replace, they delivered the replacement & took away the damaged one. The only cost to us was a new protection plan (5yr) and being patient a couple weeks

    We are really glad we invested in the coverage. Our LG tv developed an issue with the screen turning purple across the entire screen shortly after its warranty expired. When we looked online, it was very apparent that LG knew about this issue, and was not standing behind their products. Fortunately we had purchased the warranty so most of the cost of a replacement was covered. Was some confusion that 3 people in the store and management chain told us the entire purchase price would be applied when we purchased a more expensive replacement, but then the manager who rung the 2 tvs we were buying all the sudden the deal changed and we didn't get full credit. A little fishy, but we were still glad we had the warranty.

    When I got this TV it was because I notice small picture glitches with my old TV. When I called to see if I could get it repaired they said my TV might be too old. I was asked if it was under warranty. I said I believe so, but I'm not sure how long it was for. Turns out we bought the 5 year and I was in the last 5 DAYS if the warranty. I brought it in and as suspected it was too old to fix so they gave me the option to exchange for that same one of they had it (or could order it) OR to take the value of the TV b as store credit. Not the current value, but the value of when I bought almost five years ago. That credit bought me a Samsung 55". From a 40".
