    Geek squad protection plans are worth the extra money. several years ago I had purchased a 46" Samsung 3d/smart/hdtv. after less than 18 months, It had a huge dim bar across the screen. it was irreparable and Best Buy had to give me, at minimum, what I purchased. they no longer had 46" 3D/smart/HDTV's, so they had to give me a 55". The plan saved me from having to buy a new tv and I also got a size upgrade. can't beat that!

    Geek Squad Protection is a great Value if needed

    Geek Squad Protection for products is a great value. We have had to use it a few times and it was painless and easy. I would recommend getting it if you are purchasing high money products that you have the potential of damaging or electronics. Best Buy keep up the great work!

    Short answer....GET IT!!! Long answer...GET IT!!! Had a Fire Cube that failed, got a replacement, and the replacement was the next generation cube as they had changed since our original purchase. Taking a 70" 4K Samsung back this weekend that failed during the protection plan period....will probably get an upgraded unit as this model isn't made any longer. For high end stuff (TVs, Alexia, Google, etc) get the 2 year plan, it is worth the extra $$

    Definitely buy the product warranty. My father had the insurance on his tv, and after owning the tv for just over 4 years, the picture started to show grey lines in the picture. The tv couldn’t be fixed. Because he had the insurance, Best Buy issued a credit for the tv and we used it to buy a bigger and better tv for just a few dollars out of pocket! Buy the insurance!!

    TOOK more then 90 days to get a new tv had to rent

    Same as the last time this is my second time dealing with geek squad replacements. They kept replacing the board which DID NOTHING!!! i was without a tv for almost 2 months . I had to rent a tv for 89 a month until they said they needed the board to fail 3 times instead of giving a replacement. So it was a 1500 dollar tv the reciept showed every main board was 1199 so they spent 3 times the tv's cost in repairs plus whatever it cost the truck and workers and then the 4th time when they picked up the tv and dropped off the other. This is crazy and if they just stopped this weird policy i dont know if its made up or what because it was the same guy every time i do not know if he was just saying this to pocket the money or what but its a crazy thing to do keep putting something that does nothing to fix it 3 times and wasting money and everyones time and making me have to rent a tv for a month. Honestly the only reason i give 2 stars is becAUSE they finally gave me a new tv what the old one was worth.

    Geek Squad service for 'peace of mind'.

    I was able to install the TV and start it up without need of help from the Geek Squad service. However, I thought that having the Geek Squad service available for 5 years was a good idea for a peace of mind, like an insurance policy. Typically Consumer Report Magazine does not recommend this type of coverage as electronic devices are generally very reliable and long lasting. Indeed and interesting, my previous 48" Flat Screen TV failed exactly 5 days after my 5-year Geek Squad service expired. During those 5 years I did not need any service from the Geek Squad. Hope this TV lasts longer then 5 years and 5 days!

    When I purchased my new Samsung TV, I decided to pay the Geek Squad for delivery and installation. So happy I did. It did not take them much time to get everything up and working. They also reviewed and showed me all the different options that this TV has to offer. I'm not very techy, so it will take a little time to learn how to do everything quickly, but I will get there. Thank you to the (2) gentlemen from the Geek Squad for doing an amazing job and helping to understand all of its options.

    When I tell you that Geek Squad service is flippin AWESOME that's what I mean they really go hard trying to help and if they can't do it then they roll out a new product or a refund......I love me some Geek Squad!!

    LOVE my new tv. Great price, awesome and easy to use remote. It literally has everything in a smart tv that you would want. I like that even my non-techy grandma is able to easily navigate the tv/apps/and remotes. Also has voice search feature which is very convenient. It was super easy 1 step, push of a button to get my cable tv remote paired with the new tv. I loved that part because usually they have codes you have to fuss with and it takes too long or you don't have the code etc. I definitely recommend this TV!
