No more worry!!!

And this time added a power surge addition!!

Disappointed customer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We were disappointed with our TV purchase as it gave us problems from day 1 however after speaking with Geek Squad, they sent a technician to diagnose the problem and scheduled a, immediate replacement which we are now enjoying. They were very easy to deal with and the 2 gentlemen who delivered our TV were very professional and their communication with us regarding arrival time was excellent as we were able to ensure we were there to receive the delivery. all in all, they were fantastic to deal with from the 1st call,

Geek Squad Protection - Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently started having a screen issue with a TV I purchased from Best Buy; I had also purchased the Geek Squad Protection Plan. My TV was still within the extended Geek Squad warranty period. Honestly, I expected a major hassle trying to get my TV repaired/replaced. However, within a couple days Geek Squad determined my TV could not be repaired, offered almost the entire original purchase price, and applied it to a new TV of my choosing. The process was seamless and efficient, and I could not be happier! Needless to say, I once again purchased the Geek Squad Protection Plan for my new TV.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek squad was very fast when i had to get new tv because my went bad very nice on phone and because they couldnt get the tv i had they got me a bigger on and just as nice probley better and i wanted bigger from the start but couldnt find what i wanted but when mine didnt work any more a d i calles them and after they checked everything i got the help i needed and they found what i wanted and were right on top of it zi will never buy from any were else after that any were else and it would be a problem but not best buy tbey are great and i stick by them and now i have all my friends and family doing the same thank u beat buy i will never by a tv from any one but u

I got it for a computer monitor…

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.…. but my computer isn’t finished as I’m waiting on a warranty claim on a brand new motherboard. Long story on that.. I have been using it for an xbox one my room mate had laying around. The picture and clarity is great and it certainly seems faster than the older xbox. I turned the color ip 5 and it is good, the blacks are great, and it is more than bright enough for any use I’ve had. I don’t find the glare particularly bad. I’m not really much of a TV person and didn’t own one before this (lije I said, I got it as a monitor) but I’ve enjiyed watching some stuff I would have used my phone for before. There is no crunchyroll app, but airplay was easy enough.

A purchase for peace of mind.

When I had a problem in the past, Best Buy has taken great care of me with no hassles. They have made good when it counts. I may not get the additional protection, but for electronics which can have a high failure rate I always purchase from Best Buy and get the added protection. From what I have read and experienced their coverage is the best and typically the longest. I know of enough people who's TV has died after a year and a half (after the warranty), who were out of luck as they did not purchase the extended coverage. Also, I prefer buying TV's and many items at Best Buy vs all the competitors including Amazon who has given me terrible customer service.
