    TOOK more then 90 days to get a new tv had to rent

    Same as the last time this is my second time dealing with geek squad replacements. They kept replacing the board which DID NOTHING!!! i was without a tv for almost 2 months . I had to rent a tv for 89 a month until they said they needed the board to fail 3 times instead of giving a replacement. So it was a 1500 dollar tv the reciept showed every main board was 1199 so they spent 3 times the tv's cost in repairs plus whatever it cost the truck and workers and then the 4th time when they picked up the tv and dropped off the other. This is crazy and if they just stopped this weird policy i dont know if its made up or what because it was the same guy every time i do not know if he was just saying this to pocket the money or what but its a crazy thing to do keep putting something that does nothing to fix it 3 times and wasting money and everyones time and making me have to rent a tv for a month. Honestly the only reason i give 2 stars is becAUSE they finally gave me a new tv what the old one was worth.

    Best Buy protection plan is well worth the money

    Best Buy offers the best warranty. I will not buy electronics without purchasing the Geek Squad protection plan. I’ve had a few large purchases that failed and Best Buy repaired or replaced my items just as promised. I suggest the extra expense for the protection to all my friends and family.

    I have used geek squad in the past but it’s nice to know I have them to help set up my devices. I would definitely recommend them I really think it’s a great service!

    Quality TV, Meh Remote

    Overall a great TV with a high quality image. Removed 1 star for a slightly awkward home screen and a remote that doesn't include a microphone to search for things via voice command.

    Gav and Chris are both an asset to the Geek Squad! The service I received was impeccable. They were able to provide me with the necessary equipment for my tv. I highly recommend and would use them again for future services.

    The agents were knowledgeable and helped me get the tv I wanted even though it was out of stock. The agents ordered it for me and it took less then 3 days.

    Future Proof your Gadgets by Geek Squad Protection

    This has helped to get answers to all of my queries and give peace of mind that my TV is protected for the next 5 years (a typical life for a product like that). Bets part of this is that if my TV breaks / has any issues then Best Buy Geek Squad Total Tech Support will fix it and if they can't then either they will replace the TV at no extra cost or if the current TV model is no more available then I get the price of my TV back to buy another TV.

    The Geek Squad Crew arrived on time. The were very considerate of our home. The wore shoe coverings. When they were finished they cleaned all the dust from hole drilling. Their installation of the TV quick, accurate and professional. After all the physical work was done, they spent almost 30 minutes showing and teaching my family how to use the new remote. They also showed the family all the new available features built into this TV.

    Geek Squad is a most have. The peace of mind you get by knowing that for 5 years you have the protection of your investment by a solid group of professionals. I have made some services calls for some of the articles that I have purchased and have had issues and the service that I receive is 5 starts always.

I will say though that in the distant past (back when a 65in Pioneer Plasma TV cost between $9,000 -10,000) they allowed an extension of the original extended warranty and honored their coverage in about year 8 of warranty replacing that TV with an equivalent unit (now Panasonic) which is still in use today some 14 years from the original purchase and still a great TV especially for sports, action and 3D movies.

    Can’t really say much but I do know they honor their service and they do get things fixed. If they don’t they will replace a new item so I can say the service is.

    I haven't had to use the Geek coverage I got for my new TV, so that is good. I haven't had anybody I know tell me, "Boy, I sure am thankful that I got that Geek coverage for my item!", but I have to be fair and also say I've never heard any say it was a waste of money. I was a bit baffled that they don't give you anything other than the receipt to explain what I was buying and we all know how some receipts fade with age to a point that they're unreadable. I have spoken with the Geek department about other matters and they were helpful even if the item I had issues with did not have coverage, and I appreciate that.....big time!
