Geek Squad. What can you say. Just the most convenient and knowledgable way to protect everything you purchase at Best Buy, and with complete confidence.

Before I purchased my new LG refrigerator on 6/15/25, I spoke with a Best Buy customer service agent who assured me that, if I purchased a 5-year GS protection plan and something happened during the manufacturer's 1-year warranty period, GS would send out the repairman, who would make any necessary repairs and then deal with LG on my behalf. I had asked about this specifically because I had read several reviews about LG refrigerator compressors going out early and that the LG warranty service was horrible. My refrigerator has started making a loud noise, and GS tells me that I must go through LG and that they will not service the refrigerator until the LG warranty expires. Either Best Buy has trained their employees to misrepresent the terms of the protection, or their employees have not received correct training. Be warned!

I used this service once I had a good experience. I was also given a gift card for the delay. It was during cov-19.

Performs as advertised. Got a very good deal on it. The Best Buy staff was very helpful in this transaction. I wanted to make sure that our purchase was covered past of standard manufactures warranty.

The geek squad are professionals, always prompt and courteous. They get things working and provide tips on how to maximize value of your purchase.

Protection plans just make the most sense when you are spending a good price to begin with. There's no better feeling than knowing your investment is protected for an additional amount of time- in this case, 5 years!!

Happy I haven't had to use it! Insurance is always a rip off until you need to use it. If you have the funds it provides peace of mind.

very expensive but necessary as I do not have good luck with regfrigerators and my last one had over 8 repairs

You absolutely need to have a warranty on any appliance. Not that the quality or brand is bad, but that extra peace of mind is crucial

Well I do like the fridge but not the break down and I guess that’s where the Geek Squad protection plan would help out so it’s better to have than not.

Tiger service was good they came twice to check it out and gave me good explainations
