Never hurts to get the warranty since Best Buy's customer service is off the charts when it comes to repairing or replacing their products.

I bought the extra protection because I do think thinks can happen. They don’t make anything like they once did.

Geek squad always pretty good I hope I never need to use them for my new fridge.

I haven’t had the chance to use it yet (knock on wood), but so far they have been very responsive to my inquiries.

I can't recommend Geek Squad Warranties (or TotalTech) on large appliances. Their scheduling is a mess. First, they try setting up an appointment for a Geek Squad employee to come on Tuesday. They're supposed to call on Monday to set up a time window. They never called and never showed. So I called back on Wednesday and now they scheduled it with a third-party company. When I say "schedule", that just means Geek Squad sends them a request. The schedule is actually up to the other company, but they called to work out the real schedule. When the third party company arrives, they tell me they don't work with Geek Squad warranty. Geek Squad needs to send one of their own technicians, not from a third party company. When I call Geek Squad back and tell them the whole story, they just try scheduling with the third party company again. Round and round we go. Ask for a supervisor; sometimes that helps.

Adding that little extra to the cost to know that the product will be protected and I can be "worry free" about it is worth that little bit extra!

I’m glad my item is protected by Geek Squad. I’d rather pay for insurance than a replacement.

Geek squad protection gives peace of mind for those just in case scenarios.

Got additional protection plan on my new purchases at Best Buy. Products are still new so I haven't had to use it yet, but I like having the peace of mind.

Two stars for the terrible system of trying to contact someone online or on the phone who could actually get the service appointment scheduled. It was during Covid so that is the reason it was not a one star. About 3-4 hours of phone time. We had this warranty on a Samsung Refrigerator Freezer. Good thing because just after year 1 the ice cube maker seized up. When we called we were lined up with a contract repair company and not Geek Squad. Ther were nice and professional but it took three tries to get the repair right. To their credit, they followed through and got it done without complaint the third try. I would recommend this anyhow if you have a fridge with an icemaker.

I like my new freezer. I always have warranty on my purchase.

I haven't had to use the warranty yet, but hopefully if I do, everything will be taken care of!

It was easy to add and pretty reasonable for the time period

Its always better to be safe than sorry so I am hoping I won't have yo take advantage of this warrenty
