Before I purchased my new LG refrigerator on 6/15/25, I spoke with a Best Buy customer service agent who assured me that, if I purchased a 5-year GS protection plan and something happened during the manufacturer's 1-year warranty period, GS would send out the repairman, who would make any necessary repairs and then deal with LG on my behalf. I had asked about this specifically because I had read several reviews about LG refrigerator compressors going out early and that the LG warranty service was horrible. My refrigerator has started making a loud noise, and GS tells me that I must go through LG and that they will not service the refrigerator until the LG warranty expires. Either Best Buy has trained their employees to misrepresent the terms of the protection, or their employees have not received correct training. Be warned!

Best Buy's Geek Squad Protection pays for itself with one small repair problem. The KitchenAid refrigerator has an electronic panel, several lamps/sensors, and a compressor.... the cost of one repair to any of these items makes the warranty a good bet.

This plan that I purchase is a reasonable price and they come once a year to check it ,besides if you need to make an appointment for a repair

the refrigerator had a faulty icemaker, After three repairs was able to get a new refrig. Unfortunately, the icemaker was still same and has been replaced once and still does not perform properly. Without the warranty we would have been out big bucks.

I purcahsed 5 year warranty because it includes almoat every coverage, and it is 5 year and cheap.

I did get the extended warranty with my fridge but have not used it as of yet but I have piece of mind knowing it’s covered

The guys safely delivered my freezer and put in the designated space and set it up to make sure everything worked perfectly. Great job. No dents, no bumps, no broken parts.

Due to space limitations, we purchased a Samsung refrigerator that had multiple negative reviews on a variety of websites. However, it was the best option for the size. We know we will have problems with it and in these cases, a Best Buy warranty is a must.

Purchased this extended warranty protection when I purchased my LG Refrigerator. Reasonably Priced at Best Buy. Haven't had to use it but it's good to have if needed.

It is an added expense, but is piece of mind in case there is trouble with the refrigerator unit in the future.
