    This membership is an excellent value. Member prices, plus unlimited Geek Squad support are great. Also, love the peace of mind of getting protection plans on our purchases. This is an excellent value to ensure coverage on my new refrigerator for 5 years.

    This Refrigerator was out of the box, and used (supposedly for display only), 12 hours after I got it home, my wife came home from work. I hadn't even plugged it in yet, so, I wanted to show my wife what a great purchase I had made, and how roomy the inside was. So I started pulling out the drawers one by one. Well the bottom drawer on the right (refrigerator side) would not open. Upon further inspection, found approximately one (1) inch of Ice formed in the back of the refrigerator side of the refrigerator preventing the drawer from opening. Also, the nylon hoses on the back of the unit, one of them had been twisted and looked like it was creased.... nice Refrigerator but, I didn't want to purchase a problem, so exchanged it for a nicer Whirlpool refrigerator.

    Last people who installed our refrigerator were AMAZING! Watch them Best Buy needs to make sure hire the right people we had really BAD experience with people installing our refrigerator. We had to almost change the same refrigerator 4 times because of their neglect installers. They even damaged our wooden floors. It was really a nightmare but Best Buy stepped up and made right! Such a good relief. Btw our refrigerator is the best, we loved it!

    Purchased Geek Squad protection then needed service . It was eazy to set up then fixed. Then a problem arose extensive work done. After repairs it failed twice more for same problem and repaired. I couldn't get a replacement even due to same problem multiple times. So I would of given them 5 stars if they stood behind their replacement policy.

    Geek Squad will not repair everything themselves. Best Buy will contract out work to AIG and AIG will contract out to Pacific Repair. Unfortunately these companies do not communicate well with each other. I called in to Geek Squad on 12/1 and a tech was able to come out on 12/4; I was very pleased by this quick response. However, the tech was not able to fix the problem and bumped this up to AIG. I received an email from AIG telling me that a tech from Pacific Repair would arrive on 12/15. I was not happy with having to wait so long, but what else am I gonna do? On 12/15 I get a call from Pacific Repair, not to tell me what time they'll be arriving, but to set up a repair appointment. It seems that AIG made an appointment in their systems but did not let Pacific Repair know this. According to the rep from Pacific Repair, they did not get the request for my repair until 12/12. A Pacific Repair tech cannot come out until 12/20, and I am so not happy with this. I was furious, but again, what am I gonna do? I've already paid for the warranty coverage and am now stuck in this ever worsening series of events. Take a wild guess as to what happens when the Pacific Repair tech arrives on 12/20... tech identifies the problem but does not have the part on him or in stock on island, the part needs to be shipped in. Following up with Pacific Repair I find that the earliest the part will arrive is 1/14, a month and a half after I made my first call to Geek Squad. For reference, I could order a refrigerator right now on the evening of 12/29 and an entire refrigerator would be delivered the day before the part I need is estimated to arrive at the repair shop. I feel as though since this is a warranty issue that all of these companies are not making big money on this situation and I'm being treated as such by each and every one of them. It seems to me that Geek Squad Protection is only concerned with protecting the bottom line of the companies at the expense of the the customer. If I needed to follow up with a phone call to a repair shop that they designated, then tell me so I can move things along. While all the techs who've come out to the house have been wonderful to work with, the companies they work for are the worst. I'm seriously reconsidering ever getting Geek Squad coverage on anything in the future because while it may cost more to replace an appliance, the sheer frustration and anger I now have towards these companies may be taking a toll that is not worth the money I've saved.

    The Best Buy Protection is worth every penny

    I purchased a new refrigerator with the 3 year protection. When the refrigerator arrived the delivery men unwrapped it outside and checked for damage. The water dispenser was hanging off the door, wires showing. They apologized and reordered a new one right away. I always have great delivery service. I purchase the protection on all my appliances and electronics. I had a washer replaced with a new one that stopped working. We've had several items replaced with the protection so I highly recommend purchasing this extra.

    I purchased an upright freezer (best buy exclusive brand) that stopped working within a few months. Unfortunately, I originally didn't purchase the extra geek squad warranty, but after several emails and calls (due to unknowledgeable employees) Geek Squad still made it right, by exchanging the freezer for a new one, and allowing me to then purchase the extra Geek Squad warranty! I did have to load the freezer in my vehicle, to return it, but some Geek Squad members, took care of the rest. Since I purchased the Geek Squad warranty in the replacement freezer, a technician will come to my home to repair/replace the freezer, if need be.

    Refrigerator was delivered making a noise. Geek Squad arrived and immediately noticed the condensor was bad and removed it and replaced it with a new refrigerator the following day. Always knowledgable and professional. They are the difference between purchasing elsewhere and at Best Buy!

    Haven't had occasion to call them for anything. Installation of our fridge & oven went fine. They did however, in their cleaning-up, take the box the Microwave was packed in-unknowing that the template for mounting the microwave was printed on the box! I created my own & my wife & I hung it without incident.
