    Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

    The Geek Squad installed my TV and headphones. All work well. They were ontime and very helpful. The answering service to schedule the visit was terrible. I could not understand them nor could they understand me. They may say they speak English but I did not think they did well enough to be answering phones. Worst part of Geek Service. Need to bring to US.

    I purchased the five year warranty, just in case. With all the new electronic functionality I wanted to make sure I'm covered incase it needs repaired. I've used Geek Squad over the years and they have been excellent.

    I purchased the 5 year plan for my samsung fridge i bought as a discontinued model. I had two separate issues with it. (Both common problems after a little reasearch) and geek squad setup a feild tech to come and diagnose and order/replace the necessary parts to fix it. Both times have easily paid for itself. I recommend it to anyone making big purchase.

    Brought the 3 year warranty not expecting to use it so soon but the water/ice dispenser wasn't working, they set up and appointment, texted and called as they was coming and did an outstanding job of communicating.

    Best Buy Warranty A Must In Today's Time!!

    Best Buy offers the best warranty for electronics and home accessories. You cant not go wrong with this warranty and it covers more than the manufacturer warranty. I put warranties on everything I buy from Best Buy, it's just that cheap insurance for when things go south!!

    I am extreamly happy with the Geek Squad. Our Dryer went out and they were there within the week with parts and had it fixed quickly. the only issue I have is that they dont allow us to use Best Buy bucks to purchase the warranties anymore. that change was also hidden within their updated rules.
