Glad i brought this. I was having problems with my washing machine when I first brought it and they came right out.

I had to get geek squad on my machine because the last one broke repeatedly. I know best buy did not make the Samsung washer, however they had to fix and replace it. I always get geek squad.

Must have Washer & Dryer Warranties. You never know what could happen! Better to be safe than sorry!

We have been without a washing machine for over 6 weeks despite purchasing an expensive warranty from Geek Squad. Despite having ordered and received the parts needed for the repair, we have had 3 scheduled visits, each with repair people failing to show up without notice. We have made more than 8 lengthy phone calls to Best Buy, having to repeat the problem and being disconnected 4 times. When we called at 3 p.m. for an update regarding the most recent scheduled visit, we were first told "the parts were unavailable". When we said we have the part which was ordered through the warranty, they said " the technicians didn't come to work." When we asked why we were not notified when it was after 3 p.m., we were told that the company is "unable to contact technicians during the day." We were then told we could exchange our washer for a new item. When we tried to do so, we were told we actually couldn't exchange the item and would have to wait once again and hope their unbelievably unreliable repair company (which "cannot be contacted during the workday") would show up. If you want this type of service, go ahead and purchase from Best Buy.

As a past employee always get the protection! Trust me. It comes in handy for every day wear and tear that the manufacturer won't cover at all... I've dealt with a lot of it.

Knowing I have a 5 year warranty on my dryer makes this purchase even better
