This was purchased for a LG electric dryer to cover for damage even related to normal wear and tear. Being that we use our electric dryer almost daily, it makes sense to purchase this relatively inexpensive plan just in case. The fact that newer electric dryers have built-in computers and are virtually impossible for the end-user to repair, I feel that this protection plan is well worth the price. The plan even covers for damage caused by where in tear witches pretty incredible.

I had so many problems with this dryer when first purchased. The heating element went out after about a month of having it. It was worked on about 6 different times before they replaced the heating element. No problems after it was replaced.

We value the Geek Squad services very much. It provides us with peace of mind.

After a lot of trouble shooting on a washer unit issue the store went ahead and replaced the unit. Install was professional and extended warranty was worth the price for major appliances.

I ALWAYS get this coverage for any major appliance i purchase. If you have ever had to make a warranty claim with any major manufacturer, you know that its a HUGE pain in the rear and almost worthless because they really don't help. I was told by a friend about this plan best buy offers and how easy and great it was when they had to use it. Once he told me this, I have been purchasing all of my appliances with Best Buy and ALWAYS add the protection. I recently had to make a claim with my washing machine. They were so helpful. I owned it for two or three years and the buttons stopped working. They actually just replaced my washer with a brand new, bigger washer at no extra charge. I am so glad that I bought this coverage and will continue to do so!

Fortunately I have not had to take advantage of the warranty or extended warranty and I hope I don't have to. But having the extended warranty at a reasonable price gives me great piece of mind. If the service is as professional as the installers were, I trust that any repairs I need to have done will be a great experience.

This warranty for my washer makes me feel confident to throw my dirtiest clothes at the washer and not have to worry if the AI decides to take over the other appliances.

First several guys that serviced my old dryer were untrustworthy and were no help at all. The last geek squad guy was amazingly helpful and honest. Very professional and customer oriented. This review is for the last geek squad guy that serviced my old dryer.

I have had several electronic items go out. And the added protection saved the day. They don't make things like they used to is for certain

I bought the geek squad warranty and I hope to never need it but just in case it was very affordable and worth the ease of stress

We purchased this protection plan and hopefully will not need to use it; however, it does give us some peace of mind knowing we have some assurance that we will not be hit with an expensive repair once the manufacturer warranty expires. We generally avoid paying for protection plans for every purchase we make; however, knowing it was backed up by Best Buy's reputation for exceptional customer service tipped the decision in favor of purchasing this protection plan. The option for 5-years and cost appeared reasonable in light of the money we had to spend on our original unit with a more limited protection plan that had expired.

Geek squad is a great addition to my product. It gives me a peace of mind knowing my products are protected.

Very good plans and they stand behind exchanges or returns with no questions asked

We bought this unit and the gas dryer with steamer function several years ago. We never found the steam function on the dryer to do much despite the claims by LG. With the wash, there is no venting, the gaskets sealing the door double over and do not fully drain. Within 2 years this rather expensive piece of machinery is being replaced due to mold in the drum, the ENTIRE gasket of the door, and in the soap feeder tray. While front loaders are more prone to this, the LG units in particular seem more prone to this. While I INITIALLY had no complaints from the washer unit, I should not need to replace a washer of this price point this quicky. We own a medical clinic and took excellent care and maintenance of the units, which is even more frustrating given how much time was spent trying to keep it clean. I do not recommend this at all unless a few years down the road you like mildew mold smelling clothing.

The tech guy was scheduled to come 2 days after i requested a visit and he was here right on time and got the issue with my washer solved in under an hour. Super happy after spending almost a grand on this machine just barely over a year old.

I got this set for my daughter to replace a set she had and she loves the extras that came with it. She knows when the cycles are done.
