I have compared Best Buy with the other competitive. The conditions offered by Best Buy are much better than other outlets.

I bought this because I felt it is better to be on the safe side. Of course, equipment has a tendency to fail just after the warranty is over, but I guess that is life.

Given that a washer has both electrical and mechanical components and also handles fluids (liquid soap and water), buying the service policy seemed to make sense. A washing machine is too large to bring back to the store if there is an issue.

With larger purchases and depending on the appliances, it is recommended to have a warranty beyond the manufacture.
