Geek Squad is very reliable to fix or replace a purchase and my philosophy is "Let it be their challenge, not mine."

It’s a must, they take care if everything and much needed for the investment you just got

Within a month or two of this product being delivered and used, we began experience issues with the washing machine leaving a musty and moldy smell on all our clothes. However, because the product was outside the 15 day return policy, we were force to contact Geek Squad for further support. Geek Squad said that they could not find anything mechanically wrong with the product (despite their tech saying that he could totally smell the musty and moldy smell on a piece of clothing) and said that we should contact LG for further support. We attempted to contact LG and they blamed all issues with the product on the fact that the state laws in CA require energy/water efficiency, user error (despite the fact that we complied with all their recommend suggestions on maintenance (back to back tub cleans, use of special sanitizing product, wiping down machine, leaving door open, and using recommended laundry detergents, etc.), plumbing issues with our house (despite the fact that the house is a new construction home built in Sept. 2021) and water quality issues (despite the fact that we purchased a whole house water filter for our home specifically to eliminate this as a factor). Finally, LG stated that we need to run with all washes and tub cleans some type of laundry sanitizer product. While this suggestion did eliminate most of the odors coming from our clothes, I did not buy this product with the expectation that I would be forced to use laundry sanitizer product on a regular basis to keep my clothes from smelling after each wash. Moreover, using a laundry sanitizer product on a regular basis did not eliminate the smell completely. After LG ignored our cries for help, we turned back to Best Buy/Geek Squad because of our extended warranty on the washing machine that we purchased for nearly $500. Best Buy/Geek Squad continually shuffled us back and forth between different personnel, some who promised a return or exchange of the machine only to be told later on that particular personnel did not have authority to authorize a return or exchange. I called the manager from the store we purchased the product from and he ignore our pleads for help. The bottom line is this, Best Buy, Geek Squad and LG do not care about customer satisfaction or stand by the products they sell. A washing machine should make your clothes smell better after use; not worse. Moreover, LG has had major lawsuit in the past over the same exact issues with their front load washers in the past. I have been a loyal customer of Best Buy for years. I’ve spending thousands of dollars with this company, but after this experience, I think I will be looking for other venders to buy electronic products.

You will need this warranty there are no problems but you might just have one then it will cost you to fix it. Worth the money

before i left best buy store, the sales person made some statements that made me not second guess the purchase (over 1200.00) and gives you warranty for both items. i was so happy and egstactic. i also hope no issues would ever happen to my washer and dryer... not even a year into owning these two items they start not working properly. i called geek sqad, best buy and all the extensions i get for 3 months no one could find my insurance, and shortly after when its stumbled upon by the best buy staff, i get told i am going to have to wait. keep in mind 3 months had lapse but the condition of the washer and dryer got worse they statered leaking and once again i notified best buy and pretty much got told to wait. my issue at that point was first of my insurance/ policy wasnt found by them for 3 months. secondly both items got worse why would i want to get store credit and purchase items with the company that not only has neglected me, my property, and the items that i had insurance. but forced me to get another set of washers and dryers. instead like i suggested of just cutting my ties with best buy and purchasing these items

Must have if you get any electronic you have to have geek squad safety is key

The way we use are washer this is a Great investment. It will pay for itself in one service call and is your good for 5 years.

My LG washer prior lasted 10 years but always great to add the extra insurance
