    Adding on the 5 year Geek Squad total protection coverage was the best decision ever! I highly recommend adding protection/coverage to any major appliance purchase if it's offered.

    had my washer for 2 years, it went wonky, called geek squad, they arrived, assessed, called me later that day.. Replaced BRAND NEW WASHER!

    I would give GeekSquad ZERO stars if I could. Nothing but a nightmare trying to get my refrigerator repair completed. I called Best Buy in April trying to get the middle drawer flexzone climate control of my Samsung fridge fixed. Because of Covid, they were not dispatching. Ok, I understand. I called back in June and was able to have them dispatch a repair tech. Nice guy, seemed knowledgeable and eager to please. But with 3 visits to my house and ordering the wrong part, the issue started to become a waste of my time with him. Nevertheless I think third time was going to be the charm. He ordered a wiring assembly and had it shipped to my house. It arrived on Sept 5th. I texted him directly to let him know and he scheduled an appointment for the following week to come out and install the wire. The next week on the install date, he did not show. I called him and asked what happened. He apologized and said his car broke down. (Yes unlikely reason just as the dog ate my homework, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt). So he arranged another appointment to visit a week later. That day came and went and he did not show again. I texted, called, and emailed him multiple times and he did not respond. So here's where things get even worse. Its now 2 months since he dropped off the earth and left me hanging. I have made several calls week after week to Geek Squad to address this. During some calls I would spend an hour with the agent and they would check things then suddenly disconnect me. Frustrated, Id wait a couple days and they did not reach back to me so I attemtped calling Geek Squad again. I then have to re-explain my situation (Cant they read the notes???!!) Well after another hour or so on the phone they assure me they will take care of it. Suddenly I get disconnected again. So I call again and start from square one. Another hour and promises they will get someone to fix it. This time she scheduled an appointment with a different tech to come to me. That agent even promised this would resolve it all and said she would follow up with me. That date the following week came and went. No tech showed. Nobody called. I called Geek Squad yesterday and was on the line with them for an hour again explaining everything all over again. Seriously, doesnt a company like this have a ticket system like Remedy with notes in it? So the agent went to see how she can help, and low and behold I got disconnected again. Mind you I am on my landline phone each time, it never disconnects me. It was Geek Squad each time. So here I am typing this review while I am on long wait time hold to speak to another agent. (BTW, if you try to use the web chat feature to text an agent, it goes to some other call center and they have NO access to your records if you opened the ticket on a voice call. Ridiculous for a technology company this big in the 21st century. I will never ever ever buy an extended warranty from Best Buy again. Good grief!

    I bought this front load washer/dryer combo ( Whirpool 4.5 cu. ft. washer & 7.4 Dryer ) 2 weeks ago and couldn't be more pleased. My clothing has come out cleaner than when I used my old ( 14yr) top loading wash machine. I also use less water which means saving money on my hot water bill. Drying time for my clothes is shorter , which again saves money, and they smell so clean and fresh... towels are soft and fluffy too.

    Decades-long Best Buy Customer Giving Up :>(

    I trusted Best Buy for all of my electronics needs for several decades. They haven't always had the very best prices, but had been very reliable in selling what I wanted, providing good personal service and standing behind the products they sell. I'm the ideal customer. Good purchase experience, Buy. Happy with product. Buy more. Went out of my way to order products for myself and business during the pandemic from Best Buy rather than ordering from others (you know who!) because I was a believer. Of course, when I started purchasing appliances for myself and then a growing my family over the years, I bought from Best Buy for these reasons. Never had problems with the first few washer/dryer units I purchased at homes over the years. Great! Now, as time marches on and the ONE TIME I actually need warranty service on a FIVE YEAR Geek Squad protection plan for an LG Dryer, it took weeks to try to have a service appointment and then try to make a claim. Geek Squad/Best Buy has outsourced the warranty to AIG to maximize their chances of making you give up. I waited for days for my first appointment to have my broken dryer serviced. When the repair finally came to my home, they took apart the unit, left a mess, said they would order parts after approval and then....NOTHING!! After days of waiting, I had to call "customer service" again and then was told that my claim would not be covered. We are talking about many weeks without a dryer at this point. I explained the poor state of the dryer after the "repair" appointment and that we needed a resolution. I was told that they were very sorry that we hadn't heard back, but that they wouldn't cover anything because there was "a fire" in my dryer. They provided no basis for their claim and I demanded a review from another technician. Was told that my claim would be escalated. A few hours later, much to my relief, I heard back from another representative that my claim would be escalated for "replacement".. Then...NOTHING!! FOR TWO WEEKS!! When I called again, I go the runaround about escalation. Finally, I received an apologetic email from a alleged escalation specialist apologizing for not getting back to me sooner BUT that they couldn't help and were denying my claim. No real escalation, reinspection or replacement as promised, just a whoops! So SORRY!! The playbook is simple: do nothing, finally show up and make a mess, be non-responsive, obfuscate, pretend to escalate and then blame the user instead of the possibility of a broken/defective product. I'm really sorry that my trusted partner, Best Buy, decided to make it end like this. No doubt, if I wait long enough, I'm sure I'll get a claim form for the class-action settlement for this one too. So disappointed in my old friend, Best Buy!

    Broke down in a year...

    One year and one day after installation, this Haier - 2 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Compact Washer and 3-Cycle Dryer Combo machine broke down. We have Geek Squad Protection, but they farmed out the repair to a third party, who had to order a part that when it came in six weeks later, was defective.. I've been on the phone for two hours waiting for a fifth person who supposedly can help me. This fifth person is from AIG, not Geek Squad, and the best he could do was to submit a claim for an exchange. Did I say it took five phone calls to get through to the first person? Needless to say, I am exasperated, frustrated, and am a very unhappy customer.

    Customer Service is awful & rude!!!

    I recently called to get a warranty service on a dishwasher that we purchased through Best Buy and we also purchased the Geek Squad 5-year extended warranty. The man I spoke to explained that he could not assist me because my plan was no longer valid. He stated it had expired in June, 4 months prior to my call. He said I should call the manufacturer for any repair, which is Bosch. I told him that the Bosch manufacturer warranty was only 1 year and that I purchased the 5-year extended warranty. The purchase was made in June of 2016 and the repair was needed in November of 2021. So, I explained and read the information below. (e.g., if you purchased a 3 year GSP Plan and the manufacturer’s warranty is 2 years, your Coverage will expire 5 years from the date of purchase). To me that looked like all together I should have had a 6-year total warranty. There is a lot to read here and I wasn’t sure about which plan I had actually purchased, but in my head, I was thinking that if I purchased the 5-year extended warranty, which I did, and the manufacturer warranty was 1 year. That would mean I was covered for 6 years. Well, he went on to explain that the total plan was only for 5 years total. I again said, “I am not understanding…and begin reading the information out loud. Then, I was rudely interrupted and told that he was not going to sit there and argue with me any longer. My plan had expired and if I needed repairs, I would need to call my manufacturer. First of all, I was shocked! I have never been so rudely spoken to by anyone whose job is to provide customer service. Secondly, I was in no way arguing with him. I was simply trying to understand what I was reading and how I could not still be covered. See all the information below, I read before I ever even called to try to make sure I was calling the appropriate place. I then reread the information again and noticed that the portion highlighted states that that is for washers and not dishwashers. My mistake, but I just thought when reading it was just using that as an example. Either way, I have been a long time Best Buy customer and almost always purchase the protection plans, but this has put a really put abad taste in my mouth for Best Buy- Geek Squad and “extended” warranties. I plan on putting this in several reviews so that no one else has to ask Best Buy Geek Squad to do their jobs and explain to a client in a professional manner that they may be misinformed about the extended warranty is not an actual extended plan, but rather, a 1 time 5-year plan. Such a shame coming from a company I use to respect. I am sure my one review means nothing to them, because I am just one client out of many who shop there, but just be warned. Caveat Emptor! Appliances: 1. In addition to the coverages for the products specifically listed in this subsection, this Plan also provides for the removal and reinstallation of an appliance in the same location for service purposes provided that the appliance was delivered and/or installed by a Best Buy Authorized Servicer, Best Buy Authorized Installation Provider, or a Geek Squad Installation Technician as stated on the same purchase receipt as the purchase of this Plan. 2. Top/Front-Loading Conventional Washers & Washers/Dryers and Combination Washer/Dryers: Parts coverage to repair the transmission or drive motor part will be covered for a period after the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty according to the Plan term you purchased with a maximum combined coverage limit of up to ten years (e.g., if you purchased a 3 year GSP Plan and the manufacturer’s warranty is 2 years, your Coverage will expire 5 years from the date of purchase). The Plan. These Terms and your purchase receipt together state the plan you have purchased (the “Plan”) and the coverage under the Plan (“Coverage”). Coverage under this Plan is in addition to the coverage provided under any applicable manufacturer’s warranty. 2. Continuous Plan; Coverage Period. Your Plan begins when you purchase this Plan and SHALL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW ON EITHER A MONTHLY OR YEARLY BASIS (depending on the Plan you purchased as specified on your receipt) until you cancel the Plan (“Coverage Period”). You authorize Best Buy to charge your designated payment card the amount specified on your receipt, or the then-current price, each month or year, as applicable, until your Plan is cancelled. You can cancel your Plan at any time by calling 1- 800-GEEKSQUAD (1-800-433-5778). See Sections 16 and 17 for additional details. When Your Plan Begins and Ends. Your Plan begins on the later of (i) the date you purchase the Covered Product, or (ii) the date your original Covered Product is delivered to you although certain parts of the Coverage will begin upon the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty as explained in Section 3. Subject to certain product specific exceptions providing for longer periods of Coverage as stated in Section 5.4, the “Coverage Period” means the date your Plan begins as per the preceding sentence and shall end as explained below depending on what type of Plan you purchased: a. One-Time-Pay Plans. If you paid for your Plan in one payment, Coverage under your Plan will end one, two, three, four or five years from the date on which it started depending on the length of the Plan you purchased unless it is renewed or cancelled, or our obligations under the Plan become fulfilled in their entirety, in accordance with Section 12(c) hereof. b. Monthly Bill Plan. If you select a Plan for a set period (e.g., 24 months) and pay for it on a monthly basis, Coverage under your Plan will continue for the set Plan period, unless it is renewed, or is cancelled or our obligations under the Plan become fulfilled in their entirety in accordance with Section 12(c) hereof. Upon expiration of the set period of your Plan, your Coverage will continue thereafter on a month-to-month basis, but only if you (A) receive a notice from us inviting you to continue your Plan on a monthly basis thereafter and (B) promptly confirm in the manner specified in that notice that you would like to continue your Plan. If your Plan is renewed as set forth in the previous sentence, then your Coverage will continue until it is cancelled or our obligations have otherwise been fulfilled in their entirety in accordance with Section 12(c) hereof. Until the Plan described in this paragraph is cancelled or our obligations under the Plan become fulfilled in their entirety in accordance with Section 12(c) hereof, you authorize Best Buy to charge your credit or debit card for (A) the amount specified on your payment receipt, plus tax, for each month of the set Plan period specified on your payment receipt, and (B) for each month of any renewal period(s) at the rates you agree upon when you elect to renew, plus tax. Your account must be current to receive service. c. Cancellations/Renewals/Fulfillment. For information on how your Plan may be cancelled or renewed or how our obligations are fulfilled under your Plan in their entirety, please refer to Section 12, below. 3. Manufacturer’s Warranty. a. Parts and services covered under the manufacturer’s warranty are the manufacturer’s responsibility and are not covered by us under this Plan during the manufacturer’s warranty period. Therefore, Coverage for hardware failure described in Section 5.1 will begin when the manufacturer’s warranty expires except that if the manufacturer’s warranty does not cover one of the listed Coverage items in Section 5.1, this Plan will provide coverage on the Plan start date. b. Although not covered nor an obligation of ours under this Plan, Best Buy may provide hardware service to you if Best Buy is a manufacturer authorized service provider or Best Buy may otherwise offer to help facilitate manufacturer’s warranty claims by providing you administrative assistance to process a manufacturer’s warranty claim directly with the manufacturer. c. If your Covered Product is replaced as a result of a manufacturer’s warranty claim, your replacement device will become the Covered Product under this Plan, provided that you contact us to provide the serial number and any other information requested so that we can properly identify the new device as the Covered Product.

    This is one of the best prices out there. I purchased a 5 year for around $99 dollars and I gave it a four star because I have not had to use it yet but knowing best buy they always are pretty good with their warranties. I bought this for my washer and dryer and paid $99 each for 5 years. I purchased my last laundry set from sears and bought 3 year warranties for $150 each. This was a steal %33 off and %40 longer warranty.

    Balancing problem with this machine

    I am not pleased with this washing machine. It’s constantly becoming unbalanced. It’s made more for a family than it is for a senior citizen. It requires a larger load to function properly. I would recommend it for a family, but I would not recommend it for one or two people it constantly goes off balance.
