This is a must buy for appliances as i do not think quality of GE/Samsung/LG are the same anymore. My last washer started having issues at 3 years and this is worth every penny for peace of mind protection

The washer is great! Its huge. The best buy customer service was awful though. Shawn the manager at the South Portland store is super rude and condescending.

I like the geek squad service plan. It is well worth it, as I used it to fix my son’s computer( free of charge) by putting a new operating System, and have the hard drive replaced( paid the material). I also get discount on appliance install, disc on warrenty plan,& free haul away. I love it. My2d year of subscription.

The new washing machine was not operating as required. The geek squad offered to immediately replace the unit. I was able to get the unit to work properly after turning the operation knob back and forth and resetting it to "normal" operations and it works very well now. I called the Geek Squad and they nicely cancelled a replacement washer. No problem !!

This LG has a jumbo capacity and fit about 24 pounds of our laundry and was one of the few HE top-loaders to excel at cleaning. But like many HE top-loaders it wasn't so gentle on fabrics. Normal wash time is 75 minutes on heavy-soil setting; the TurboWash feature cuts time without affecting performance. Features include a steam option and SmartDiagnosis. It lets you transmit washer data by phone to technicians who will try to solve the problem without a housecall.

12/7/21 purchased a washer and dryer at Pacific Sales which is a division of Best Buy. I was offered a service contract from Geek Squad which is also part of Best Buy which I purchased. In May 2023 I noticed a rattle during the spin cycle of the washer. While the machine was operating fine at that time, I contacted Best Buy to have service to avoid further damage and was advised the service contract was through AIG. Had I known the agreement was though AIG I would not have purchased as I have 40 years experience in the financial industry and am aware of AIG history. AIG sent someone out from Antech Appliance which has a 1.5 star rating on Yelp with the majority of the ratings based on their work for warranty companies and finding reasons not to cover claims. The service spent about 10 minutes looking at the machine and told me they would need to remove tub which would take 2 people so they would have to come back. A day or so later I received an email stating the claim was to be denied as "they stated they found the unit not working due to a foreign object(coin/pin rattling) between the tubs causing a noise issue and this is not considered normal wear and tear." Note that per the email they are making the assumption that the rattle is caused by a foreign object but they do not know what it is and cannot confirm it is in fact a foreign object. I filed a complaint with BBB but Best Buy stated they are standing behind AIG finding. I had requested a refund of the premium as the warranty was of no value and AIG denied the claim based on assumptions. Subsequently the machine has started to show Error Code when I run the clean cycle. Best Buy responded to the BBB that they had provided a pro rata refund and cancelled the contract. This was done at my request as my right and not in satisfaction of my claim. Best Buy used to stand behind their products but obviously no more. Do not buy from Best Buy but, if you do, do not purchase a service contract. Not worth anything. They employ sub standard repair companies.

A lot of people say not to do the extended warranties but for the price you almost can’t beat it on certain appliances. When you get close to the end of the five-year extended warranty you’re given an option of doubling it one more time for a fee. On a washing machine or dryer to have an extended warranty for 10 years for only $150 is almost a no-brainer! In 10 years time it more than pays for itself after just one visit!

5 year warranty on washer and dryer used once or twice on washer dryer before pays for itself if any problems do occur and in 5 years its likely

The Geeksquad installed my washer and answered all my questions I hope I never need them to service the washer for any problems that may arise but if it does I would feel confident in their servicing it.

This protection is like having a double-edged sword because the company that created the device will also protect it under its warranty and repair coverage so double is better than single apply for the geek squad also!!

Delivery was on time and staff were helpful and efficient

I am so thankful that I purchased this for my appliance. I have had to use this protection to replace a dryer for which the front glass had shattered without reason. The process is extensive with a 3rd party company to come out to see if they can repair issue that was not pleasant but after quite some time, the appliance was replaced.

Well they just brought my washer and really didnt have a chance .
