Always good to have a protection plan on appliance, even though I don't really want to have to use it.

Purchased because of the Samsung exploding washers, added insurance in addition to claim from lawyers.

Appliance failed after 3 yrs, thought my Geek Squad protection would take care of it. Repair was scheduled, notifications were sent, and Vendor selected came out as expected and ordered needed part. Then I spent the next 5 weeks calling the vendor AND Best Buy, spending hours on hold trying to get info on the repair not made. Not even once was I updated on the status, and no activity could be accessed online. Finally talked to the Geek "Special Forces" who said I would be eligible for a store credit since part was still on back order (I was able to find 3 vendors that carried the part in stock, but BBuy doesn't look). Now waiting 2 more weeks, still no communication from Best Buy, NO credit issued.

I purchased this in case. I have not had to use it and Hope to not to.

This 5 yr plan is the best out there last tv i had blew up 6days after its 3yr plan had expired

Product: Samsung Refrigerator Model Number: RF23J9011SR Issue: Ice Maker does not work. Best Buy outsourced the repair service to a third party service provider "Bear Services". The service technician came in initially diagnosed that it's a "Valve" issue and replaced it after about 15 days and mentioned that he had to replace the entire "Ice Maker" as replacing "Valve" did not resolve the issue. After that they never showed up although I sent them a video showing the problem. I finally called up 3 or 4 times Best Buy and they initiated a replacement request which was denied by the insurance provider stating that per "Bear Services" the problem was resolved. Best Buy confirmed that "Bear Services" never closed the "Service request" . However they believe the insurance provider who rejected the replacement request stating that the service was completed. Although I mentioned that I have the proof's of a video message that I sent to Bear Services as well as willing to do a live video of the issue, Best Buy does not take any immediate action to address my problem. It's been more than 2 months and it's unfortunate the Best Buy is not taking any immediate action but rather would like to initiate a service request again!!!!

We hope we never need to use the warranty, but it's nice to know your covered should anything arise.

Staff have always been helpful in a pinch. Glad to know I'm covered at least for the next five years.
