Most appliances last between 5-10 years. Paying a small percentage of the cost of the appliance for an additional warranty is always wise if you can afford it. You never know when something is going to happen and you need to call in a warranty or repair.

I usually get an extended warranty when offered and for the past 10 years I have never had to use any of them. Good products.

Highly recommended for any washer and dryer these days. "They don't make em like they used to" is a saying that applies to washers and dryers more than maybe any other expensive appliance. I think there's maybe one or two brands that still make washers and dryers in America, and they're not super well known, and even they don't make their new ones like they used to. But literally everything else is Chinese or South Korean and designed to be unrepairable and fail within 5 years. Geek Squad warranties are legit, and 5-years' peace of mind is worth every penny.

I opted for the Geek Squad Protection plan, and let me tell you, it's like having a safety net for your gadgets. When my washer decided to act weird, Geek Squad had it sorted in no time. The best part? They kept me in the loop throughout, so no mysterious tech magic happening behind closed doors.

This was purchased for a LG electric dryer to cover for damage even related to normal wear and tear. Being that we use our electric dryer almost daily, it makes sense to purchase this relatively inexpensive plan just in case. The fact that newer electric dryers have built-in computers and are virtually impossible for the end-user to repair, I feel that this protection plan is well worth the price. The plan even covers for damage caused by where in tear witches pretty incredible.

I haven't use this protection for my most recent purchase yet (and hopefully won't need to) but I have purchased this and used it before and highly recommend it for expensive items because life happens and stuff breaks, it's good to have that security on your investment.

I had a problem with my new dryer leaving lint all over my clothes and not on the lint filter. Best Buy Geek Squad offered to stand behind it and replace the unit. One thing I always spring for these days is the Geek Squad service. TBH, it gives me peace of mind that within an expected timeframe, there will be Geek squad protection on my purchase!

I always get a Geek Squad warranty on all my major appliances. This on is on a recent Washer purchase. I did have two major large purchases that I purchased this warranty on and it covered those two products with no questions or problems.
