    Terrible experience with geek squad

    I have had major trouble with customer service and geek squad in a effort to get my refrigerator fixed. The water dispenser started dispensing and wouldn’t stop we weren’t home at the time. I called and scheduled a repair. The tech that came out did not seem properly trained to diagnose the problem he had to call LG so they could walk him through how the buttons on the display work. He ordered several parts and rescheduled another visit. The parts were sent to my home and when I opened the box I knew he didn’t have a clue. I got a ice maker and trim pieces to fix my dispenser. I’m not a tech but common sense says it’s not right. I called customer service and asked they re assign the tech or send a manager to properly diagnose the issue. Dani in customer service said it was all set and gave me a new appointment. She also instructed me to file a claim via email to Segwick for the property damage. Come to find out that email does not accept emails. I called back to file a claim over the phone only to get no response from segwick. Day of the appointment came and same tech was scheduled. I called customer service again only to get a very rude supervisor who said thers nothing she can do and refused to escalate or allow me to file complaint. The tech came out and spent almost 3 hours changing unnecessary parts only to say that it’s still broken. After that most of the food is spoiled. We called customer service again but spent hours with no resolution and only getting the response to have to try again for another repair in witch they ordered a door that does not include the dispenser that I feel is also a bad guess at best. I also was informed you take no responsibility for any physical damage to the home as a result. You would not even consider a courtesy credit for the inconvenience. I now need to take a 3rd and 4th day off to try and resolve this. You really should eliminate the call center as they only created cases and more problems with misinformation provided rather than correcting the issue. I’m not a tech but I am more qualified than who you are sending out. You have wasted my time and money. We are going to cancel any remaining contracts after the repair is complete any take our appliance purchases elsewhere. You make it so difficult and confusing nobody has any authority to do anything to help.

    I got the protection plan for our microwave. Have used it once since then. The issue was resolved very efficiently and in a timely manner. Really happy that I got the extended warranty.

    While confident our new range will work fine, the Protection Service is a good "insurance" policy covering a more expensive purchase.

    No need to call yet, but I am very happy with the product as I received it. Having the warranty helps me stay on budget without any unexpected expenses for an essential appliance!

    I always protect all of my purchases with the 5 year Geek Squad plan. Highly recommend to protect your expensive Application/Electronic devices. Never had an issue making a claim

    I never buy a major appliance without the extended warranty. My last dishwasher had over 6 service calls. Hopefully geek squad is as good as the one I had with NFM.

    GREAT YEAR PLAN FOR ME TO UTITIZE IF MY STOVE EVER GOES OUT. BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL NOT AND IF IT DOES THIS 3 YEAR WARRANTY WILL ALLOW ME TO FEEL AT EASE AND PLEASE WITH THE SERVICE.

    I purchased this since my existing model - Kenmore Elite - died in about 3 years and repair was too expensive. Can't tell if the 5 year warrantee will work until the microwave's warranty expires.

    Wow! I can't THANK! MY CHILDREN ENOUGH, FOR OUR HOME WARMING GIFT, TO MY HUSBAND & I.....It's good to have this protection, towards the purchase peace of mind.
