    So far have not had to use this, glad to have it as gives a peace of mind for things to break down or that at least for a while, have always took the Geek Squad Protection out in the past never had a problem to get things fixed being under the Geek Squad Protection

    Our first warranty with our first refrigerator was great in getting our money back for the fridge, being we had it less then 7 months when it started acting up. The warranty we lost when we bought a new fridge, being we "gave back" the fridge. Which I wasn't happy about, due to the fact we wouldn't have to "give back" the fridge if it could have been fixed. So kinda like throwing that money away in my book. Like I said, not happy.

    Save your Money Back Ordered Parts

    Replacement parts on back order with no est. in-stock date. I purchased an expensive refrigerator that the ice maker quit working on it. Called for service and they promptly sent someone out. Rep told me they were ordering a new ice maker and that it would come directly to me and to call in again once I received it. A day or two after the rep left the fridge stopped cooling so all of my food is spoiling. Yes, they have a food replacement claim form but that is for $200 MAX overall. I have teenage kids we go through that in a week! So I called back in for service on the cooling of my fridge and to my surprise I was told they WILL NOT send anyone else out until my part comes in and they install it. So I ask what is the estimated delivery time for my part and I am told that they don't have one because its on back order. So at this moment I have a 3k fridge in my kitchen with an expensive Geek Squad warranty that was supposed to protect my investment. But what is happening is that every time I call the best-buy warranty service and wait an hour and a half to speak to the first person(that is not an exaggeration) each rep tells me that the previous rep processed my claim wrong and that they are doing it right and I will have another company come out to fix this because this is a major break down. Only for me to wait and receive my scheduling email and see that I am again booked for the same warranty company A&E and they never show up because they wont come out until the ice maker has been shipped to me. I have remained hopeful that this will be resolved professionally but with how my claim is being bungled I don't know. FYI for those buying these plans they tell you that if the product breaks down and they can't fix it they will replace the product. THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH. Thats what I was told so I purchased the product only to learn now that I need help that "your warranty doesn't have that option" WHAT?!?! I purchased the only warranty available to me and purchased it based on that statement. Long story short, store workers don't know much about the warranty info. They are telling you what ever they need to to sell a warranty and get a pat on the head from the manager.

    Sears Outlet and other vendors want substantially more money to cover the same product. Best Buy is very up front and clear with what is covered and what is not covered in their warranty. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my LG counter depth had a $200 price to cover the unit for five years. I'm genuinely not worried about any noises or issues because I know i'm covered.

    I purchased the 5 year warranty, cause you never know. I figured it’s a major appliance, that I do not attend to purchase again at least for a good couple of years.

    Hand Off To Local Repair Service

    I had to contact Geek Squad for a problem with my recently purchased washing machine. Because it was still under the machine's 1-year warranty, they had me contact a local appliance repair service. I was told that Geek Squad would handle the repair themselves after the manufacturer's warranty expires.

    Damian and Ryan were able to fight through several computer and order glitches to exchange a refrigerator for the one I originally wanted. When the system dropped my warranty, the were able to gift it back to me. I am so grateful I went in person and had this handled by these two professionals.

    My Fridge failed and they could not find servicer. They replaced it with a LG side by side and refunded me the difference. I now am so much better off with the LG. This service is worth purchasing when buying a new refrigerator. They came through.

    I always purchase one of Best Buys extended warranties. They are always helpful on the phone when I need them. They are responsive and fast with service. My worry is always that a company is going to find some loophole to not honor an extended warrantly, but Best Buy always comes through.

    Crooked shelf, left packaging for us to do!?

    Geek squad - Installed refrigerator, noticed small dent, but they left all the packaging and tape inside. Was a challenge and took us a long time to take all the packing components & tape off. Very challenging trying to figure out how the shelving went in especially the shelf that has a mini moveable shelf. And the plastic bin shelf that goes over the beverage center does not fit correctly and is crooked in how it sits.

    The agents installed my refrigerator and and microwave, and hauled away the old appliances without any cost to me. Total tech (geek squad) membership is the way to go.
