I wish I was joking....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

High-quality product great experience

Of course I was paranoid to buy things post Covid as we’ve been hearing that some parts weren’t great but it seems like those appliances have gone through the cycling out. This is a high-quality product.

2 Months, Defective Handle

So when my old fridge started to have problems I bought the matching black stainless fridge. While it was delivered promptly, the repair men did not hook up water or ice, saying that the line I needed was to long. (Ok?) When they left they left a big oil in my driveway stain from their truck (I left a message to let them know). Afterwards, I opened the handle to the Fridge door and it popped off the hinge. A new repair service was ordered weeks later. I was told the very specialisted part needed to secure the handle was never installed. He didn't have it, but told me he would request it shipped or I could go to the "hardware store" and get something as close as possible and try to do it my self. I requested the part be mailed. It has been 2 months, no part, no customer service follow up. I paid over three thousand dollars ($3000) for a fridge with detached handle.

My warranties
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like getting the extra warranty for my products I really do not care for Allstate but I guess somebody else had to take over from the other company that screwed us selves over I just hope Best Buy stays on top of things and make sure when a person needs to get a new product with their warranty that they keep doing what they've always done for me and take care of me because I actually love going to Best Buy and buying things I hate buying crap off-line

Ron and the other gentleman that came answered all my questions and were incredibly helpful. Can't say enough great things about this team. I was apprehensive after reading the online reviews and seeing horrible install pictures, but my experience was the opposite. (Maybe it's because they were not subcontractors and actual Geek Squad techs.) I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Necessary Item

Compared to other protection plans I've purchased from other retailers, this one is worth the money. Overall I've found Geek Squad to be exceptional in service and knowledge.
