    Oven Disaster Solved in Minutes

    I did something dumb. I forgot my plastic dish was in the oven. I was preheating and smelled melting Barbie smells. Instantly I knew I messed up! I called the geek squad because I thought the racks were unsalvageable. The melted plastic had hardened seemingly everywhere on the racks! It also managed to drip below onto the bottom of the oven. I was devastated. When the tech came out he had special tools to remove the plastic and not scratch the special coating. When he left, the oven looked like nothing happened. I was so glad I got the geek squad protection plan!

    The agents installed fridge without any hassle. Arnaldo and Javier from A&S Nieves Transport did a great job in delivering and hoping the fridge to the waterline. They also gave instructions on disposing gallons of water and cubes and wiping the product before starting to use. Great crew and work well done.

    I called the Geek Squad the day after installation of my Maytag Refrigerator. I noticed white specs I thought were pieces of shipping styrofoam. They were nicks (scratches). The Representative informed me of my options, and resolved the matter.

    Must get it. My fridge broke down a month before my 5 years warranty expiration date, and best buy just gave me a brand new one (i picked it) since they couldn't fix it

    So, I had to get this coverage... Just in case. I had a freezer that I bought from Best Buy, went out within 5 months, lost really expensive meat along with other frozen perishables. Had I had this coverage, it would have been reimbursed. Same freezer was on sale, used the difference for the plan. We'll see!

    Just Love, Love, Love the Geek Squad

    On all major appliances or products, I always purchase the Geek Squad Protection. I have contacted the Geek Squad twice due to installation issues on two separate appliances and found them to be responsive, professional and handled each installation issue perfectly - above expectation. Luckily, my appliances have not had any issues, however, I have total confidence in the Geek Squad if the need arises.

    Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

    When I brought my refrigerator I also brought the protection plan. I was super excited when I seen Geek Squad. I have used the Geek Squad in the past and had lovely experiences. I highly recommend getting protection plan especially if it’s with the Geek Squad.

    Replaced our refrigerator at Best Buy!

    6 yr old refrigerator broke down so we were in the market for a new one quickly. Best Buy for the win as they had the exact one we wanted n sale and available the next week. Install was well-done by their delivery team and we couldn’t be happier with the product and delivery install. Thanks Best Buy!!!
