    This is the first time getting Greek Squad, but after reading all the bad reviews from all the refrigerators I wanted more insurance, I hope I don't need the protection but if I do I hope they will honor their contract in the proper fashion

    The people have been very helpful when calling for assistance. The hold time can be a little long if you get transferred and some of the questions are repetitive, but overall it is a good value.

    I just love Best Buy's Geek Squad Protection Plan. I never have a hassle when needing to return something. I don't even have to have the receipt. They just look-up my phone number and find everything they need.

    Excellent freezer firmy family. I like the controls being on the outside. Set up was easy since the delivery guys unboxed it and took the boxe with them. All i had to do was add the handle and plug it .

    I always buy the protection plan. I have learned now though that you generally need to call the manufacturer the first year since Best Buy cannot help you if there is still a manufacturer’s warranty.

    I have been a long time Best Buy customer, all my electronics are from there and now a major appliance. The Best Buy protection plan has provided ease of mind that a failed unit is quickly repaired or replaced. They help every step along the way without unexpected loopholes. One word "Dependable"!!

    I have a 5 year protection plan on my refrigerator. It started making noise about a month ago - I called Geek Squad and they told me they were not setting up any repairs even outside of Best Buy. Then a week ago I awoke to a warm refrigerator - I called again got the same answer except this time I was told to call Samsung and ask them - I did and they sent me to a repair company that quickly fixed my refrigerator for about $500 out of my pocket!!!! I was told to send it to [email protected] and shortly there after was sent a rude email saying they would review my request in 2 weeks (felt like whenever they would get around to it). This is not the way to take care of a client - I cannot believe you are treating us this way. I will tell everyone I know in social media, Google maps, Yelp and other rating companies not to buy from you any product or warranty and I am going to write the better business bureau, CFPB and any other advocacy group to get the word out how bad of an experience this was. I completely understand keeping your employees and us safe but when it is an emergency and food is hard to come by it is mandatory to have a working refrigerator. You should have at least forwarded it to someone else and covered the costs then. I expect to hear back from someone by Friday May 1, 2020 to address my concerns or I will make good on my actions.

    We purchased a protection plan. We do that every time we purchase an appliance because this is going to a rental house. If the tenant has a problem, they can call the Geek Squad and get it taken care of.

    I am currently going through a warranty claim for an LG refrigerator that had the compressor go out after about 15 months. The initial call to Geek Squad was a good one and the tech was very helpful and made it sound like my refrigerator would be back in action in 3 days. We pretty much diagnosed it over the phone and he said that the compressor is a common part and would be able to get replaced the same day. Then the night before the service I get a call from a third party that is responsible for the diagnosis saying that they cannot make the appointment. This was after rescheduling work and personal appointments that day and delaying a cross country drive that I have to make (still). From that point until 10am the next morning I have been on hold for 6 hours with 3 different entities trying to get everything sorted. The special forces ended up being the most helpful but told me all of the things I didn't want to hear (although she was great and I appreciated finally getting the correct information). The technician will pretty much never do repairs same day. Once they diagnose the purchase of parts has to be approved which likely takes 2-4 days according to the special forces rep. Then I am told by the third party technician that compressors need to be installed by someone certified to perform that work and all of their people are booked up for atleast a week. So at this point we are looking at a 2 week fix for a refrigerator but something tells me it may take even longer than that. I am living out of coolers with 2 kids and 2 old in-laws and my wife. I would rather have saved my warranty money and called a service tech on my own and have it fixed in a few days. It seems like most customer service these days, nobody is in a position with responsibility and can only pass you onto the next department. I am calling everyone I can at this point throughout Best Buy and Geek Squad to file complaint and see what can be done to remedy. Either way, this has been a joke and being without a working refrigerator for more than a few days is unacceptable when I have paid extra for the warranty.
