    i am happy that they offer this! i always buy this regardless of what i get. anything technology wise i buy a protection warranty

    A hassle trying to get anything done.

    If your appliance is less than a year old, you get the run around trying to get something taken care of. You call geek squad, they then tell you to call the manufacturer, who then gives you the phone number for someone local to deal with. Really? Three different calls to take care of it. Not good.

      It’s certainly concerning to hear your newer appliance is having an issue, and that you’ve run into so much trouble finding an avenue for service. Please know that while the manufacturer’s warranty is still in effect, this will supersede an extended Geek Squad Protection Plan, which is why we referred you to them directly. That said, it sounds like your experience has been more difficult than it should be, which we offer our sincerest apologies for.

    Not sure whether this protection is a wise investment. Kinda leery of these protection packages. Your mileage may vary. Be warned!

    POOR SERVICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE!

    We took delivery on the LG Wash Tower and after one use, noticed a LOUD squeaking noise. We thought perhaps it was just new and needed a few cycles to work out the kinks, but noticed the sound persisted. After contacting Geek Squad, they offered to send someone out but made us wait 2.5 weeks for the appointment; only to CANCEL on us during our service window that day. They never contacted us to reschedule the appointment. So far, the service has been terrible, especially since we still have a defective washer and dryer due to the poor installation.

    The washer was delivered with NEW hoses not correct for our hook up but they installed any way. The machine slams and bangs when filling with water. Three attempts to fix and still same problem. Never had problem with old washer same brand and old hoses. Best Buy refuses to assist and the credit for inconvenience of $70.00 has never been seen. They dont care.

    Sometimes if you purchase brand new appliances it's not recommended to includes this plan.

    I give a one star because there wasn’t an option for zero stars. I had geek squad protection on my old dryer and it broke down. I fought with bestbuy for two months to get it fixed. It was found to be unfixable and I got credit to get a new one. When I went to the store they refused my credit and sent me away. Causing me to fight to get that fixed. Also anytime you call best buy plan on being oh hold for an hour or more. It’s a joke and bestbuy is a joke.

    I normally skip these warranty programs but dryer parts are expensive. It's odd to pay for something and hope you don't need to use it.

    BB cancelled my protection plan when my appliance was unable to be installed. Please note that the item was indeed delivered and at my home. They also cancelled my installation instead of rescheduling. All of which is absurd. Now my I've had to repurchase and the protection plan is not showing on my account.

    This protection is garbage! They take there sweat time. Its been over a month still sitting on a washing machine that is known by Whirlpool as defective.

    at five years, appliance broke. hassle to get fixed, service to fix unreliable. took about 2 weeks to get someone out to look at it, then another month to get them out to fix it, this was after one appointment being a no show. rethinking where i will be buying my next appliances and warranties

    Whirlpool Cabrio thumbs down

    Purchased a whirlpool cabrio washer and the worst product ever. i only had for 6 years and the bearings are gone. The Geek Squad coverage only covers if the manufacturers warranty still covers the item. we were told the parts are not covered even though the warranty states the machine is covered though 2024. Be careful!!
