    Purchased as an extra protection. Haven't had to use it and hopefully I never will. Geek Squad overall quality of service is rapidly going down. Not sure if I would recommend this to a "friend".

    Geek Squad Protection on Major appliances is absolutely a terrible experience. They could careless and then in the end, they screw you over even more just to make sure you never buy an appliance from them again. I remained calm through the experience but maybe that was the wrong approach. I ended up having to pay more money for a lesser quality Range/oven because they would not replace my oven in the next 2 and a half months. That would have been a total of over 4 months without an oven.

    Inspite of my friends warning me that Protection plans on appliances are really not useful, I trusted the brand "BEST BUY" and "GEEK SQUAD" I have been trying to get my Fridge repaired which is covered under the Protection plan. They have rescheduled me twice and the technician didn't even show up and Best buy keeps circling me between their departments and customer service(If I should really call it a service) This is a total waste on my money, time. Not just the money I invested to get the Protection plan, but also the money on my spoiled food, the time i have spent over phone and all the irresponsible response (Most of the times, which I didnt even get) from them. I understand this is COVID situation, but NO SHOW is NEVER acceptable and that too twice, ridiculous!! Rather, we could just buy some third part protection plans, which might be cheap as well.. Learnt my lessons and passing it along. DO NOT BUY!!!

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A GEEK WARRANTY FOR SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO INSTALL....I have a built-in, big,heavy microwave oven that I got the extended GEEK SQUAD coverage on. A waste of time and money.... The microwave is less than a year old and the lights quit working and the GEEK SQUAD said I have to uninstall my microwave and bring it into the store for them to look at it.. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!

    Service personnel are not highly qualified. Able to fix basic items without any expertise. Service member could not remove dishwasher due to tabs on the side of the dishwasher. Did not know there were even tabs to hold the dishwasher in place.

    I cannot ever get in touch with the Geek Squad. They put you on hold and never comes to the phone. I have been trying to get them on the phone since Thanksgiving. Please help!

    Purchased but not tied to anything due to all the issues with shipping destroying products/returns/account not accurate. Been trying since February. Fingers crossed a miracle happens

    I have this plan on multiple devises and in home appliances. 1. My microwave- three weeks without it working. The store said call the 1800 number the 1800 number sent me to the store this went in circles. Then the store said we got it. The replacement came in and no install was set up. 2. We bought for air pods. One store said “we can’t help call Apple”. We call Apple. They said you can take them to Best Buy they are an authorized repair... then called the other area store. Sorry we no longer take walkins. I explained what happened at the previous store. “What we handle that you don’t need to go to Apple?? “ yeah no they mail your pods out. Unlike Apple. Just a mess and run around. Nothing like you expect. The customer service promised and delivered are two different things.

    Defective Dishwasher - Never Worked!

    I purchased a Samsung dishwasher model DW80M9550UG in July of 2019, just a little over 1 year ago. The first time I used it, it worked. At the end of the cycle the door opened and the dishes were fairly dry with the exception of the plastics. After that, every time I attempted to use it, it would not complete a cycle. Water would collect in the bottom and it simply stopped. I had to use towels to soak up the water. I called Bestbuy and Samsung countless times and technicians were sent out to repair it. The same repairs were being done over and over, but nothing changed. I have been washing dishes by hand for over a year now and I've lost track of how many technicians have been to my home. The company refused to replace the unit until I finally had to seek a legal remedy. On top of all of that, when I purchased the unit, I also purchased an extended warranty. I guess we now know what that's worth! It's only now they have come to the table to discuss a replacement. Wow. I wonder why...

    Denied service on a 5-year contract after 3 weeks

    Did not honor service agreement to provide service regarding issues experienced with a new range 3 weeks after delivery. After 30 minutes in chat, 1) Told could return then range for replacement, and then told I couldn't as it had "cross the return period), 2) told they would schedule a repair appointment, then told they didn't have any "slots" available and to call the manufacturer. So what's the point of buying a 5-year service contract if they deny service after 3 weeks?

    Overall glad I got it. I used the service 4 times and would have been out a large cost for repair. Repair times were odd and sometimes took weeks for them to get in.

    Local agents don't show up to scheduled appointments and constantly try to reschedule. Aside from throwing away money, save the time and frustration of dealing with Best Buy support.
