Works great and looks great. Do your research or speak to a professional. Make sure you get the correct size microwave. One size does not fit all. This is for the built in GE microwave look and comes in two sizes depending on microwave cabinet width. Mine required the 30” size and not the 27”.

The trim kit makes the combination oven & microwave look good in the cabinet. However, after mounting exactly as the directions state, the microwave door does not swing open freely to its full capacity of 90 degrees. Instead, it opens only to about 40 degrees before it pinches against the frame of the surround kit. The swing side of the surround needs to be redesigned concave, so the ark of the door swing allows it to open completely without rubbing. I fear that over time this rubbing point will pop of the stainless steel front of the microwave. Lastly, the price of the kit is excessive for tin mounting platform and a plastic frame with a very thin stainless-steel veneer. This was the second kit sent to us as the first one came with a damaged tin platform in the sealed box. No problem requesting a replacement except for the initial 3 month wait time for the first then a 3 week wait time for the replacement.

Purchased this trim kit for my GE built in microwave that also purchased from Best Buy. I actually found an open box item, so it was a great value. I was in a rush the day I picked it up. I figured I would call back to schedule the installation appointment at a later date. I took it home and to my surprise my husband installed it while I was out. That means this is an easy install! It looks great and I couldn't be happier!

I love how it looks but it was not easy to put in. The two employees at Best Buy did warn me and they were right. I had to cut out the whole bigger and I had to buy a piece of wood to lift the microwave up a little. After some time figuring out how to put the puzzle together we got it in! My house is older so I don’t think everyone will have the same issues. Just know it might take longer than 20 min.

Have to return it because it does not fit opening although the correct measurements were given. Also not happy that it was dropped off in front of my house where anyone could have taken it. Techs came back days later and attempted to install it. This is the first bad experience I’ve had with Best Buy. Now I have to start all over now.

It looks nice when installed, but it was a pain to install. I replaced a 20 year old GE Profile microwave and trim with this, the old one screwed right to the wood frame directly, and was solid metal. This one is plastic and the way it mounts to the frame is really a pain and makes aligning the front of the trim with the front of the oven a major effort. The bottom of the trim screws to brackets that are attached to the pan that is attached to the inside hole in the cabinet. The top screws into another bracket that is attached to the top of the cabinet. There are too many parts that need to get aligned to make the trim flush with the oven. Most of my installation time was spent installing, removing, adjusting, installing, removing, adjusting, etc. the trim piece. The old model was much easier. Also, I don't like the business model of selling the oven for a price that looks like a good value, then selling me all the hardware to install it separately for another $200. Mildly deceptive and no way around it.

Looks great but I had to alter the install to make it work, Installed by the directions led to the door scrapping on the trim. I had to file slots in the trim plate screw holes to provide enough flexibility to make the trim work. Another note, the old trim for the replaced microwave was all metal. This one is plastic with a stainless steel faceplate.

The trim kit looks good once it was finally installed. Was a tad dis-appointed it was plastic but only due to old being metal. It did require cutting out the sides a tad more from the previous smaller GE micro-wave and its metal trim kit it was replacing. Just "plunged" using circular saw. The reason I took off 1 star was due to trim kit having to be attached to micro-wave (old one was not). Took another star off due to the tiny tiny screws supplied to use to attach the kit to the micro-wave. The screws kept dropping thru the open sides of the "deep well" and they arent magnetic. After having to take the trim kit on/off several times and wasting at least 1/2 hour due to "losing" a screw I finally went to my garage and looked through my many years of cumulative screws and found a couple that were twice as long as provided and was done in minutes. I do recommend (there really arent any other trim options) but do yourself a favor and get longer screws.

For what this cost, over $240, I was disappointed to find that it’s mainly plastic. It fit perfectly, but the price was way higher than the materials would justify. Also, the different types of screws weren’t packaged separately. I didn’t realize that there even were different types until I was at the end, and then would have had to unscrew lol the others to find where I’d used the wrong ones.

Had to purchase a new GE microwave to replace our existing one that died... Best Buy, thank you for having this trim kit in stock... Wasn’t happy that I needed a new trim kit to make the new GE microwave complete... Can’t believe how much the trim kit cost... Not Best Buy fault... GE, should have have made the replacement microwave unit fit our existing trim kit... Very disappointed GE... Thanks again Best Buy...

Professional Installation almost a must with Stainless Steel. It wont close or open pass 45 degrees, make sure it is 100% after the installation is complete. If you don't check, it wont be right. IT DOES LOOK REALLY GOOD.

A little overpriced for what it is, but it's needed so you have to pay. Shipped to my home, but was slight imperfections due to shipping.

Installation instructions a bit confusing but doable. Had to raise the floor in the cabinet 2 inches and add a 1.5 inch bottom trim strip due to the size of the new microwave. Final outcome - the kit looks great!!

Initially I was concerned if the microwave frame would fit like the one being replaced. I am quite pleased with how it looks.

This kit was as advertised. The silver frame is plastic but it matches the oven well.

The GE profile oven sits on a rack within the cabinet with an alignment frame at the top. The installation rack for this GE oven is not the same as the one for the older model. It was not clear to me that it was included with the new front black frame that matches the new oven but it was included. Once you see the old set up, the new one is the same concept except the holes don't line up to the old ones so you have to drill. Final appearance is sleek and beautiful.

Trim panel was very nice in appearance considering what others have said. I am very pleased with the product. Yes, it could have been better if it were made of metal but would have cost more. Instructions were very good and fit and finish was great.
